Mitch and I walked into my dad's house hand in hand.
"I take it talking went well between you two?" My dad asked when he spotted us. We both nodded and he smiled.
"Good! Well I'm going out tonight so it would be a perfect time for you to introduce Mitch to the kids." I smiled and nodded but Mitch had a look on his face that I had never seen him wear before. Fear.
"Uh today? Why not tomorrow? Or never? Yeah never sounds good." My dad and I laughed. "Mitch Rapp, the big, bad assassin, is scared of meeting a couple of children?" My dad chuckled.
"I'm not scared!" Mitch scoffed while crossing his arms over his chest. "I'm just-I know that if a random man came up to me and told me he was my dad, I'd be a little weirded out." "Mitch trust me, you have nothing to worry about. They'll love you!" I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Okay well you guys have fun!" "Bye dad." "Bye Stan."
As soon as the door closed, I went to go get the kids. "Okay wait here let me go get them!" I said excited. "O-okay."
"Y/S/N! Y/D/N!" "MOMMY!!" They both said in unison. They ran out to me and almost tumbled.
"Hey guys." I said giving them both hugs and kisses. "I have someone for you to meet downstairs. Follow me." I grabbed their hands and led them down stairs.
Mitch was pacing back and forth and jumped when he heard us coming down. "H-hi." Mitch stuttered. "Hi!" Y/D/N said.
"Y/D/N, Y/S/N, this is Mitch. Mitch meet Y/D/N and Y/S/N." "H-hi-I already said that." Mitch awkwardly laughed.
I went beside Mitch and intertwined our hands. "Relax." I whispered in his ear.
"Do you guys know how all you're friends have daddies?" They both nodded. "Well, um-Mitch is your daddy." "Really?" Y/S/N said. "Y-yeah." "Cool!" They both said at the same time.
They ran up to Mitch and started to ask him a million questions. "Do you like to play dress up!?" "Do you like to play video games!?"
"Wait, wait, wait. Do you know how to make mac n cheese?" Y/D/N asked with her eyebrows furrowed. "Uh-yeah." Mitch said a little unsure. "I love him!" Our daughter said giving Mitch a hug around his leg. Mitch's face formed a light smile and I laughed at how cute this moment was.
"Do you like Spider-Man?" Y/S/N asked. "Y-yeah he's really cool." My sons face lit up. "I love him too!" He said and wrapped his arms around Mitch's other leg.
"Come on, lets go play barbies!" Y/D/N said while pulling him up the stairs. "Uh-" Mitch looked at me for help. "Hey don't look at me! I'm sure you'll have a great time! Won't he Y/D/N?" She nodded her head furiously and continued pulling him up the stairs. Mitch gave me a look that said 'you'll pay for this later' but I just laughed.
I couldn't wait to start this new chapter of our lives.
