Mitch and I had just got back from a mission and we were cleaning up in our hotel room.
Mitch removed his shirt to reveal a large gash on his side. "Ouch." I stated at the sight of the wound.
He went to reach for the rubbing alcohol but I placed my hand on top of his. "Here let me help." He smiled softly and I began to open the bottle.
I poured a little on a cotton ball and placed it gently on his side. He scrunched his face up a little because of the slight sting.
I grabbed the gauze and unraveled it. I felt his eyes burning into me and looked up at him. "What?" I chuckled. "Nothing." He said shaking his head. I stared at him questionably and continued unraveling the gauze. I placed it on his side carefully and grabbed the medical tape.
"There, all done." I said once I was done patching him up. "Thank you." "No problem." I smiled.
We stared into each other's eyes for awhile before I looked away awkwardly. "Okay well we should get to bed." I said making my way toward the bed. "Yeah." He nodded.
This was Mitch and I's first mission where we had to spend the night together, so we didn't really know what to expect.
"I can take the floor." He said. "What? No, it's fine. We're partners. We can be professional." I stated. "Y-Yeah okay." He said with a slight hint of nervousness, which I had never heard from him before.
We climbed in bed together and tried to keep our distance. I laid with my back to him and he laid with his face to my back.
It had been about 15 minutes and I still couldn't sleep. I was too busy thinking about Mitch.
Yes, I had a crush on my partner. But can you blame me? He's drop dead gorgeous. I knew I couldn't do anything about my little crush so I tried to keep it to myself, but Mitch was making it harder and harder everyday.
The room was pretty cold and I was shivering a lot. "You're cold." I heard Mitch say, causing me to jump. I turned around to face him and I could see the outline of his face. "Just a little." I laughed. "I'm pretty warm if you want to come closer." I was glad he couldn't see my face because I was burning red. I scooted in closer and turned my back to him again.
I was shocked when I felt Mitch's arms wrap around me. He felt me tense up and attempted to pulled his arms away but I gently grabbed them and put then back. We didn't speak a word.
I soon fell into a deep sleep and so did he.
I wasn't sure what was going on between Mitch and I, but I wasn't planning on doing anything to stop it. I liked the feeling of his arms around me. His breath against my neck. His lips so close to my earlobe. I loved it. I just wish I knew if he enjoyed it as much as I do.
