I woke up with two strong arms wrapped around my waist. I couldn't remember anything from last night and my head was pounding.

When my eyes adjusted I finally got a look at my surroundings. My eyes widened noticing that I was in a very familiar room that wasn't mine.

I shot up and looked beside me and there he was. Dave Hodgman.

"Shit shit shit!" Because of my quick action and loud mumbling Dave woke up. I was only wearing one of Dave's t-shirts and panties.

I jumped out of his bed and began frantically looking for the rest of my clothes.

Dave sat up and rubbed his eyes tiredly. "Y/N?" He said groggily. "What the hell happened last night Dave!?" "Y/N calm down."

"I-" Right then I felt everything from the night before come up.

I ran into Dave's bathroom and began puking my guts out.

About a minute went by and I was holding onto the toilet for dear life.

Dave walked in with water and an Advil and sat down on the tile next to me. I gave him a soft smile and took the water and pill from his hands.

"Y/N nothing happened last night." I swallowed the Advil and chugged the water bottle he brought me. "W-what?" "You came over we watched a movie and I found my mom's stash of wine. I had a couple glasses and you- well, had about a dozen or two." I rubbed my head. "Oh my god." "You asked if you could change and stay the night."

He began to rub the back of his neck, something he only does when he's nervous. "I don't know how we ended in the position we woke up in." He awkwardly laughed. I let out a sigh of relief. "Thank god." Dave frowned and stood up. "I'm glad you're so relieved." He said rather harshly and walked out of the bathroom. I furrowed my eyebrows.

I weakly stood up from the bathroom floor and followed him. "Dave? What's wrong?" He just stared at his feet with his arms across his chest.

"D-do you wish something did happen?" His head shot up. "What? No!" Ouch. That stung. "I just-you didn't have to make it sound like if something did happen it would be the worst thing in the entire world." I lightly laughed. "I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that. I was just relieved that nothing happened last night that could affect our friendship." He sighed.

"Look Y/N I-" My phone then began to start ringing cutting him off. I picked it up and saw that it was my mom. I answered it and mouth 'hold on' to Dave.

"Hey mom." "Y/N where the hell are you?!" "I'm still at Dave's we fell asleep I'm sorry." "You had me worried sick! Get home asap please." "Okay." "I love you." "Love you too." "Bye." "Bye." I ended the call and faced Dave again.

"I'm sorry it was my mom. I gotta get going." I began to grab the rest of my stuff and head out the door.

"Oh wait! What were you going to say?" "N-nothing. I'll tell you later." "You sure?" He gave me a small nod and I smiled at him. "Okay well thank you so much Dave. I really appreciate it." I gave him a small kiss on the cheek. "I literally love you!" His cheeks were slightly flushed and he just smiled at me. "Y-yeah no problem. I-I love you too." I smiled at him. "I'll see you Monday?" He nodded again and I walked out of his room.

It was the next day, Saturday, and I got a call from Dave. "Hey Dave! What's up?" "H-hey Y/N. C-can you hang out?" He stuttered. "Yeah sure. Are you okay? You seem nervous?" I asked concerned. "Y-yeah I just- I really need to talk to you." "Oh um okay. Meet at the park?" Dave nodded but then remembered she couldn't see him. "Y-yes." "Okay I'll see you then." "Yeah okay bye." "Bye."

I made it to the park and started to look around for Dave. I finally spotted him on one of the swings and made my way over to him.

I came up behind him and decided to scare him. "Boo!" I said in his ear giving his shoulders a slight squeeze. He only jumped a little and turned around to see me.

I laughed and sat in the swing next to him. "So what did you want to talk about?" He cleared his throat and I could tell he was super nervous.

"Dave? What's wrong? You're starting to scare me." "S-sorry it's just-" He turned the swing to look at me in my eyes and became even more nervous. "Dave what is it?" He took a deep breath. "D-do you remember t-the other night w-when I said nothing happened and we just fell asleep?" I nodded slowly and by the look of his face I knew I did something bad.

"Oh god what did I do?" "Y-you um-" I sighed. "Dave just rip the bandaid off." I laughed slightly. He took another deep breath. "You kissed me." My eyes widened in shock and I felt my hands start to become sweaty.

"I-I kissed you?" He nodded. "Y-you also told me that you um- love me as more than a friend." He said scratching the back of his neck. I felt my heart rate increase.

I had revealed my biggest secret to the one person who wasn't suppose to find out while I was drunk. I was in love with my best friend.

"Is it true?" "W-what?" "Are you in love with me?" I nodded slowly. "Oh my god." He breathed out. I felt tears start to well up in my eyes.

"I-I understand if you don't want to be friends anymore. I-I'll go." I said standing up from the swing. I was about to walk away when I felt Dave grab my hand.

"Y/N you weren't the only one who admitted their feelings that night." "W-what do you mean?" I said with my back still faced to him because I didn't want him to see me cry. "I-I told you that I was in love with you too." He stood up from the swing. "Because I am. I love you Y/N." I turned around to face him. When he saw the tears going down my cheeks his face fell. "No don't cry Y/N." He held my face softly in his hands and began to wipe my tears away.

"Dave..." I pulled away from him and he furrowed his eyebrows. "W-what?" "We can't." I sighed. "Why not?" He said softly. "You know I don't do relationships." I looked down at my feet. "I'm not just any other guy thought Y/N. I'm Dave. Your best friend. I-" "Exactly Dave." I said cutting him off. "You're my best friend. Us being together would ruin everything." Dave was starting to become frustrating not seeing the issue."What are you talking about Y/N? You're just making things more complicated! You want to be with me and I want to be with you." He grabbed my wrist softly to try and pull me closer but I ripped my hand from his grasp. "Dave I said no!"

Everyone in the park was now looking at us and Dave took a few steps back, surprised that I yelled at him. My cheeks heated up and I ran off to my car and Dave followed.

"Y/N just let me try and change your mind." I turned around swiftly to face him. "There's nothing you can do that's going to-" I was cut off by Dave grabbing my face in his hands and smashing his lips into mine. I melted right into the kiss and softly whimpered when he pulled away.

"D-did that help a little?" He said breathlessly. I nodded and leaned in for another kiss.

We made out for about 5 minutes before pulling away.

"W-wow." He said trying to catch his breath. I giggled and looked down at my feet trying to hide the obvious blush on my cheeks. "So does this mean you'll give us a chance?" He said taking my hands in his. I nodded slowly and he grinned from ear to ear. "Yes! Yes! Yes!" He lifted me up and spun me around in the air. I laughed at his excitement.

When he put me down he smothered my face in soft, sweet kisses. "I love you." He said in between kisses. "I love you too." I smiled.

"D-do you want to maybe-um I don't know-go see a movie with me?" I laughed at his nervousness. "I'd love too." He smiled.
