20. Sum Cabin in the Woods Shit
I don't know how we all convinced our parents to let us go to the lake after prom, but we did and we're currently on our way there. We we're all piled in Neil's mom's mini-van. I was squished sitting half on top of Sal and Ashley's laps. There was enough seats but everyone brought a lot of stupid stuff and the seats were almost full.
"Everyone okay back there?" Neil asked after he hit a large pot hole. My head wacked into the roof of the car.
"Dandy." I replied.
"We're almost there!" He said apologetically. It turns out that, since Neil's family was quite wealthy, they owned a home down by the lake. It wasn't anything big, just a standard lake house. It had like three bedrooms and a closed off den that they used as an extra bedroom if needed.
"We're not gonna get axe murdered in the woods are we?" Todd asked, looking over at his boyfriend who laughed.
"Seriously, Todd?" He smiled at him, "I promise there's no crazy ace murderer in these woods."
"Thank God." I replied. "Cause I paid a lot of money for my swimsuit and I'm not letting it get blood on it."
Everyone laughed as we pulled into the driveway of Neil's family lake house. It was a small, two story, almost wood cabin like, place. There were carved wooden bears out front with their last name on it.
"This is so cute." Veronica said, opening the door and climbing out. She took a deep breath, "Finally some fresh air, Larry let one rip about 20 minutes ago and I can't stop smelling it."
He popped up behind her and reached around to kiss her cheek, "You gotta deal with that all weekend, babe." He smiled, walking away and to the back of the car. Everyone grabbed their bags and hurried inside to find their rooms.
I grabbed my bags and ran past Larry and Veronica to find the best room. I found a room on the second floor with a nice view out onto the lake. Larry and Veronica walked in after.
"Aw, fuck." Larry whined, "You got the good one."
I smiled sweetly, "Better luck next time." I winked as Sal rounded the corner and saw me standing in the room.
"Good job, baby!" He chuckled walking between the two, setting his stuff on the bed.
"You guys suck!" Larry said before turning to find another room.
I walked over to the door and started to shut it, "Love you too, Larry!" I watched as he stuck his middle finger back towards us and we laughed. I shut the door and flopped on the bed.
"I'm so glad to be out of that car." I said, stretching my arms. A few small cracks could be heard and I instantly felt better.
I felt the bed sag and I looked over, Sal sat with his back facing me and he was taking his mask off and his bun out. He wore it in a bun for prom, since I told him I really liked it that way. He turned to face me and smiled. "You're adorable."
"Thanks." I laughed, smiling. "As are you. Especially with your man bun. Meow." I said, winking at him.
He chuckled and shook his head. It was around 12:30 and I was fighting sleep, but there was a fridge full of alcohol calling my name. There was a knock at the door, and Sal said they could come in. Sal decided he was going to try and go the whole weekend without his mask. Everyone had seen his face at this point, and we we're all nice about it and said he didn't have to wear it around them if he didn't feel the need to.
"Hey, we're getting ready to play some games." Ashley said, peeking her head in. "Anyone want anything special? I'll get it ready?"
"I'll take something fruity." I said, kicking my shoes off.
