Tough Decisions

Elise's POV

The bell rang indicating that fourth period is over. 

When I walk out of the room, I turn to the right instead of the left because I'm going to Luke's room today instead of the cafeteria for lunch.

While I'm walking down the hall I'm stopped by Demetri.

"Hey. Where are you going? Don't you have lunch?"

"Yeah, but I have to go to my locker," I lie. I can't have him know that I'm eating lunch with Luke. He'll think that something's up. 

"Oh ok. Well, I was wondering if you were doing anything on Friday?"

"No, I don't think so. Why?"

"Well, I was wondering if you wanted to go to this party that my parents are going to. They're like the guest of honors so they won't buy me being sick. So, point is, I'm going to be bored as fuck and you're like my only friend. So, want to go?"

"Um, yeah. I would love to but I just need to check with my parents. I'm grounded remember?"

"Yeah, I forgot about that at first but, there's going to be University Administers there so I thought that you could convince them."

"That would totally convince them! I'll tell you when I can but I have to go now. I'll see you later," I said while walking away, not wanting to be late to lunch with Luke.

"Yeah, see you later," Demetri said.

I got to Luke's class and saw him on his computer. I knocked on the door to make my presence known and then walked in.

"Hey."

"Hey Elise. Sorry I was just putting grades into the gradebook. Sit," he motioned next to him at his desk.

I took the seat and grabbed a few papers that have some ideas for the Home Coming.

"So, what do you have," Luke asked and smiled my way. I didn't realize how close we were until I looked up at him and he was just inches away from me.

I moved away quickly though, asking if I could eat my lunch and he said yes.

I had the urge to kiss him. Which I know isn't good at all.

I heard the bell ring and got my things ready so i could leave to sixth period. My stomach hurt from laughing so much. I had a lot of fun having lunch with Luke, even though we got barely any work done. He just kept on making me laugh. Like when I tried to explain something, he'd always make a funny side comment and it'd make me laugh and then we would just get side tracked. 

"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you but Mrs. Tates wants us to pitch the ideas by Monday."

"That's enough time. We have three more days," I tell him while I'm packing my things up for my next class. 

"Actually, we have no days. Tomorrow  and Thursday I have a meetings and on Friday i have to tutor."

"Well, what about after school?"

"I have tutoring then too."

I completley forgot about him having to tutor Hannah. Well fuck. Why the fuck does he even have to tutor her?

Doesn't he realize what she really wants? He doesn't deserve that. He deserves some that's like him. 

Someone smart, funny, good-looking, caring, confident, and someone that will love him for him. 

Someone like me.

I mean someone who used to be like me? 

What am I even saying anymore?

"Elise?" I hear his beautiful voice interupt my thoughts. 

Wow ok, I really need to stop. I'm starting to get light headed. 

"Yeah, sorry. Anyway, what are we going to do then?"

"Do you have any plans Friday night?"

"Um, no."

"Okay, then why don't you come over and we can work on a pitch idea?"

"Yeah, okay. Sounds great," I say.

"Well, get to class before the bell rings and students start coming in for my class. I"ll see you tomorrow for class. Bye," he waved me off.

I walked out and into my sixth period class, which  was only two doors down from Luke's room. 

I sat down in my seat and had a blank look. What was I going to do?

I could either go with Demetri on Friday so I can meet University Administrators, which is really important to me and my parents or I could go to Luke's and work on Home Coming which is also important to me. 

Why do I always end in situations that have tough decisions? 

A/N: Sorry that it's short but I have a really good idea for the next chapter and for the rest of the book!!!
