Elise's POV

I cannot believe this is happening right now. My parents are going to kill me. This is going to go on my record and when it does, my opportunities at going to Yale, Brown, Columbia, and all of the other Ivy League schools will be down the drain. 

Right now I'm sitting in a seat right in front of Mrs. Tates, the principal's, office.

Demetri, who's sitting next to me, keeps on leaning closer to me and apologizing. It wasn't his fault though. It was Hannah's, who's in Tates's office right now.

I turn to my right when I see the door open and Hannah struts out and leaves the main office. 

"Ms. Davis, Mr. Park. If you could both come in please," she said and gestered to her office.

We both sat down in front of her desk and she sat down too. 

"Now, Mr. Park, I would expect this behavior from you but Ms. Davis? Really? You just tranferred back and have never had problems before. Even in California with the bullies, you were still a good kid. So what's happenning?"

Well there goes the fresh start I longed for and the secret that I didn't want Demetri to know. Yeah, I might be using him but I do actually want him to be my friend. And I wanted to be the one to tell him about my past. Just not this soon into the friendship. But something that really confused me was that Tates thought that this would be normal for Demetri. Maybe I don't know him as well as I thought I did. 

"Ms. Davis?" Mrs. Tates interuptted my thoughts. I didn't realize that I haven't answered yet.

"Mrs. Tates, would you like the whole story or the shorten one?"

"Whole please."

"Lu-Mr. Hemmings left the classroom and I was just talking to Hannah and then she starting cursing at me and so Demetrius defended me. Hannah didn't like what he said so she got up and slapped him. I wasn't going to just let her slap him so I was going to say something but before I knew it I was on my two feet and I slapped her. But I was only defending my friend," I explained. 

"Mr. Park, is that true? Ms. Sherk slapped you?"

"Yeah. You can even check my red cheek if you need to. Everything Elise said is what happened," he replied.

"Ok. Since it's considered self defense, I'll let you both go. Elise, I know how much you and your parents want you to go into an Ivy League school and we want you too, as well. And as for you, Mr. Park, I can see that you just can't escape trouble but by being friends with Elise, you might be able to outsmart it. Now of course I'm going to have to call your parents because I have no other option, however, I will tell them all that nothing is to happen to you two. You can go home now," she explained.

We both thank her, get up from our chairs, and walk out the door. Once we're out of the main office and in the hallways I quickly speak up because now I know that somethings up with Demetri. Something that he hasn't told me.

"What in the world was she talking about, Demetri?" I questioned, stopping him from walking and making him look at me. 

"You know, I could ask you the same thing. And actually, what in the world is up with you?!" He shouted. 

Wow. What's that all about?

"Hey! I'm not the one who doesn't tell things here. What? Are you some type of trouble maker here?"

"I'm not the one who tells things here?!?! Oh I'm sorry Lu-Mr. Hemmings. What's that all about?"

Shit. Just play it cool.

"What are you even talking about?"

"Oh don't act dumb with me 'Ms. Ivy League'. Do you know him or something?"

"Well do you know Mrs. Tates or something because you seem to be a familiar face when it comes to her and her office."

"Look, there's some things that I just don't want to tell right now."

"Same here."

"Oh yeah, like the whole bullying thing? What's that about?"

"I'll tell you in time."

"Yeah, whatever. I'll text you later. Bye," he said, storming away.

When he was turning the corner he said, "Oh look. It's Lu-Mr. Hemmings right here," he said before disappearing into the next hall that led to the doors outside. 

I followed the path that Demetri took and surprisingly, he was right. Luke was there.

"What the hell?" he asked.

I so wasn't ready to speak to him. I haven't really spoken to him since the break up. Yeah, we've spoken a few words in class but never have we ever had a full conversation yet. I've been trying to ignore it. Yet now, I'm not so sure that I can.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, avoiding eye contact.

"First of all, what happened in class and second of all, what just happened with Demetrius?"

"Well, first of all, Hannah's a bitch and slapped Demetri and so I slapped her and well, you know the rest. And for the second thing, I don't know," I lied.

"Some kind of man having a girl defend for him," I heard Luke mutter.

"Are you kidding me? What's even wrong with you? He didn't ask for me to get in a fight with her. It just happened. And plus, from what I'm now hearing, Demetri has a trouble streak."

"Wow. You're with the guy and you don't even know what he's like?"

"Oh shut up will you?! Like you know what he's like!"

"I actually do. I'm his teacher. I can tell you the whole truth about Demetrius Park if you'd like," he shrugged. 

Why in the world is he shrugging? He's acting like this is no big deal. 

His offer though was tempting. Very tempting. 

I pondered about it. 

"Okay. Show me all there is to know about him."

"Ok. Meet me at the cafe around the corner. I'll meet you there in twenty," he smiled.

Oh my, why is he smiling?

I could already tell that this isn't going to work out good.

A/N: helloooooooo everyone!!!! ok so i had to update again cuz i got all the comments and all of the votes i asked for. i just felt bad if i didn't update. sorry because this is short too. at least it seems like it to me. but i don't know if i can update like that anymore. like i have a life off of wattpad too (not really only on rare occasions.) but yeah. so i'm still gonna have goals but once i get them don't always expect an update right away. i really hope that you all understand :)
