"It's this one, a hundred percent." Jake says as I walk out of the dressing room in a red and checkerboard bikini. "Yes this is it." He says. And couldn't help but agree, I've always had some body image issues but for the first time in my life I felt so comfortable and confident in myself. I looked good. I smile and go inside and change back into my regular clothes we had also bought at h&m earlier. It was a yellow crop top with high waisted ripped jean shorts and a pair of Adidas 'basic white bitch' shoes. I walk out of the dressing room with the bathing suit and go to the checkout line where a fuckboyish worker stared me down hungrily.
"Hey pretty girl." He flirts with me. Jake wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me into him.
"She's taken man." He says. The employee rolls his eyes and quickly checks us out before waking around the counter and hand me the bag. As we walk away I feel his hand smack against my ass. I yip in shock and turn around.
"What the fuck man." Jake says while getting in his face. "The fuck is your issue."
"Stop Jake please let's just go." I say and grab onto his arm pulling him back. The employee smiles at Jake and waves as we leave.
"Fuck that guy." Jake says angrily.
"Hey, it's okay! Your okay. Thank you for standing up for me Jakey." I smile and hug him.
He relaxes and grabs my hand, "come on let have a great day! The park doesn't close till like 10 so we have a few hours to chill!" He says as we jump in the car.
We reach the waterpark and we pay and go inside, "I'm literally going to pay you back for all the shit you bought me today, seriously." I say before walking into the changing room and quickly get changed. I ball up my clothes and shoes and stuff it in a locker with jakes stuff.
"Your not paying me back, this is my treat to you." He says as we walk toward the wave pool, "wait! Let's get a picture!" He says. He approaches a women in her late 40s and asks her to take some pictures. She agrees and gets ready, he comes back to me, "get on my back!" He commands. I do as I'm told and jump on his back. I can tell she's taking candids. We do a few more poses and then I do one where I kiss his cheek.
"You two look like a lovely couple." She smiles at us.
"No, we aren't, no we're just friends, bestfriends!" We both say mumbling.
He nods and hands his phone back. He slides It into the locker and locks it. He grabs my hand and we continue to walk to the wave pool. We get in slowly as the water is cold.
"Fuck it's freezing." I shiver. He lifts me up and dunks me underwater causing me to shriek in laughter. I tackle him and do the same thing. All of a sudden a 14ish year old girl approaches us, "hi, I'm a huge fan." She says shyly to Jake. He smiles, "what's your name?"
"S-Shelby." She smiles lightly.
"Well it was nice to meet you Shelby! I'll let sam and Colby know you said hi!" He says. She nods excitedly and paddles away.
"Wow you guys really are famous." I say and poke fun at him.
"Ugh shut up you have no idea what fame can do to you." He says dramatically. I smile.
*few hours later*
"This is so good." Jake moans as he chews on his pizza.
"Hey I'll be right back I'm gonna go check my phone." I say and jog to the lockers.
I open the locker and grab my phone. I have a few missed calls from Connor and a message from Sam.
Sam: hey! I hope your having a good time with Jake! We'll probably be back around 6 in the morning okay? I'll call you later to check up assuming that your busy, who knows what dumb shit Jake has you doing right now lmao.
To Sam: hey! Sorry I haven't responded were currently at the waterpark. It's been a pretty good day, I'm getting really close with Jake. Feels good, anyways, I'll let you get back to exploring, I know I can't wait to.
I press send and put my phone back in the locker. I go back to the table and take my seat across from Jake again. It was about 7 by now.
"You okay?" He asks as he wipes his hands off and pushes his plate away.
"Yeah, Sam texted me just checking up." I respond.
"So speaking of Sammy boy, I've noticed some casual flirting between you guys." He says interested.
I blush, "we've literally known eachother for like what? Two days? We're all just friends, all of us." I explain.
He nods, "mhm whatever you say."
I gasp and slap his arms, "shut up." I say embarrassed.
He laughs, "you ready to go? I'm kinda cold and tired." He says.
"Sure!" I say as we walk back to the locker. I grab my clothes and head to the dressing room. My phone rings.
"Hello?"
"Hey! I just wanted to check up on you." Sam says softly.
"Hey! Yeah I'm fine, Jake and I are about to leave the park." I say as I put him on speaker and quickly get dressed.
"Fun, fun. So it looks like we're not going to spend the night here so we'll be home around 4-5 in the morning okay?" He says.
"Alright sounds good."
"I miss seeing your face already," he chuckles.
I bite my lip, "I miss you too. Be safe okay? Promise?"
"Promise. See ya later Alaska."
"See ya Sammy." I say and hang up. I walk out of the dressing room and meet Jake at the entrance.
"Let's go!" He says as we make our way to the car.
"What now?" I ask.
"It's a surprise!"
