•Third Person•
Locking himself in the bathroom, Izuku stared down at the blood oozing from the wound over the black orchid. A faint glow radiated off it. He bit down on his arm again, a small shock fazing up his arm as he realised he bit a vein. More blood continued to pool out as his vision started to go black. He collapsed to the floor, closing his eyes as he fell out of consciousness. The door burst open, Aizawa rushing in. His gaze dropped to the unconscious hybrid on the ground. Panic flooded throughout his whole body as he picked Izuku up.
"Yamada! Get some bandages! Quick! He's bleeding out!" Aizawa yelled as he rushed out to the lounge, placing the limp hybrid down as he tried to cover the wound.
Yamada rushed back in with a roll of bandages, passing them to Aizawa. He pulled out the roll and started to patch up the wound, watching the white cloth turn red. The hybrid lay still on the lounge, chest rising and deflating slowly. The blood seemed to stop seeping out as the red liquid stopped spreading across the bandages. Aizawa heaved out a heavy sigh of relief, standing back up. He looked to Yamada who wore a worried expression.
"Don't worry. I'm sure he'll be fine. We can talk to him once he wakes up." Aizawa said as he placed a hand on Yamada's shoulder.
"Are you sure? I'm worried for him. Something could happen. We don't know when the hunters are near or when they'll strike. It could happen at anytime and we won't be able to do anything!" Yamada voiced his worries, concern clouding his eyes as he spoke. "What if we're too late to reach him?"
"You don't have to fret. We'll be there for him. We won't let those hunters get him. Just trust me, Yamada. I know you're scared for the boy, I am too. You're not alone here. We'll help this boy together, ok? There's no reason to the worse." Aizawa replied, trying to calm his friend.
Just as Yamada was about to speak, they heard a groan form the lounge. Izuku started to stir in his sleep, face scrunching up as he tossed and turned. Aizawa reached his hand down to the greenette's head, softly stroking the boy's hair in a calming way. His face dropped back down, tension leaving as he stopped struggling around. Aizawa stood back up and dragged Yamada off with him into the kitchen. He leaned against a bench, placing a hand to his head as he sighed once more. Yamada kept glancing back frantically, fiddling with his hands as beads of sweat rolled down his forehead.
"I'm worried for him," he murmured, gnawing at his bottom lip as he spoke. "These hunters could come at any given time. I don't want anything bad to happen."
As Aizawa opened his mouth to voice his thoughts, a sudden thud echoed from the lounge. They turned to see Izuku standing up, stretching his arms high above his head with a yawn. He rubbed at his eyes as he turn towards the older males in the kitchen, tilting his head to the side.
"What's happening?" He asked, walking past the lounge and towards the kitchen, scratching at his head as he walked. "You seem tense."
A wobbly smile formed on Yamada's face as he placed a hand behind his neck. "Nothing much. You just collapsed earlier. We were worried."
"Sorry about that..." A sheepish grin crossed Izuku's face, giggling slightly in nervousness. "I bit my arm to release tension, which is what activates that glow. I think I accidentally bit a vein."
Aizawa shook his head, crossing his arms over his chest before looking back up at the hybrid. He opened his mouth to speak, but stopped. His gaze trailed to the bandage over Izuku's right arm, seeing a faint green hue radiating off it. He glanced to the front door, ignoring Yamada's questions. He grabbed their arms and sprinted to the back exit, hidden by a bookshelf he shoved aside. Izuku changed back into a cat and climbed up to Aizawa's shoulder, settling in his scarf as he looked around the blurring shapes of trees and undergrowth. They ran through the forest, swiping branches away as they ran.
"Why are you running so fast? The hunters shouldn't be around here." Yamada stated, struggling a bit to keep up with Aizawa's fast pace.
"Well, you'd be mistaken. The glow from Izuku's arm means that they are close by. If they're coming round in groups, I doubt we'd be able to fend them all off and keep Izuku safe. So it's better to move than stay in the one spot," Aizawa explained, turning sharply to the right and bolting down towards the city. "Besides, if we're in crowds, it'd be harder to pinpoint our exact location. So travelling in a group would be easier."
"And we'd be able to point them out from stature or clothing," Yamada added, a genuine smile forming on his face. "We'll need to rent a hotel though, but change every now and again as to lessen the chance of being caught."
Aizawa nodded, slowing his pace as the city came into view. The duo slowed to a walk, wearily stepping out of the forests' cover and into the open streets of Tokyo. They ventured down the street, blending into the crowds of people easily. Aizawa felt a vibration in his pocket. He took out the phone Shouto had given Izuku, seeing that he was calling them.
"Hello?" Aizawa started, hearing a faint sigh of relief on the other end.
"Hey Aizawa. We just wanted to check in, see how things are going. Everything's fine, right? I just want to make sure nothing bad has happened."
"There's no need to fret, Todoroki. All's fine here," Aizawa replied to calm the dual haired boy. "We've just had to move locations. We're in the city."
"That's a relief. Anyway, we might see you out there as we're going out. Well, just wanted to check in. Talk later. Bye."
Aizawa hung up with a quick "bye", placing the phone back in his pocket as his attention fell back onto the path ahead of him. 'This'll be a long day.'
