The moment Shouto received the call, he was rushing out of the house. 'What the hell happened up there?! How did this happen?! What did they even do?' Those questions and many more crossed his mind as he ran, ignoring the rain that pounded down on and around him. 'Just what the hell did he do?'
"Hello? Is something wrong?"
"There's been a... how do I put this... complication. Izuku... we haven't been able to get him to wake up. He's still breathing, so he's obviously alive, but he won't wake up. I'm not sure sure what happened to him, but we've been trying to get him up, but nothing's working. I'm hoping that if you can get here, then maybe you can do something."
"W-what am I suppose to do? And how the hell did this happen anyway?"
"I myself am unsure. We have another hybrid with us who should be able to explain more about what happened, but it'd be better if you came to us. We're at the top of the nearest mountain. Try to hurry if you can."
What the hell was he suppose to do?! How could he manage to wake the greenette up, when even Aizawa couldn't do anything. And who did he mean by 'we'? What happened through that time that Izuku was with Aizawa? He shook his head, rushing ahead as he sent out a text to the others that knew of Izuku's existence. After pocketing his phone, he caught an Uber to the mountain side. He paid and rushed out, ignoring the guard that stood by the gate that sealed off the mountain to visitors. He started his climb up the cliff side, staggering every now and again as bushes, trees and rocks blocked his path. But he ignored these obstacles as he continued forward, feeling his phone buzz a few times in his pocket as the others finally responded to his text. Gritting his teeth in both frustration and determination as he pushed on further through the mountain forest.
As he ran, he past a familiar shape hidden in the undergrowth. Glancing to the side, his eyes widened at the sight of his father's body, but he kept moving. He didn't care for his father, so he just continued to move on towards the top of the mountain. Voices in the distance caught his attention, sounding like Aizawa and two others. Hearing those voices made him push on further, urging himself to go on. The clearing became closer and closer, the ground turning grassy under the leaves that faded as he trekked further forwards. He broke through, eyes immediately landing on the trio surrounding a downed Izuku. He sprinted forwards, skidding over to their sides. He dropped to his knees, eyes scanning over Izuku's body before he looked up and met purple eyes.
"What happened here?" Were the first words that left his mouth. He wanted to make sure that nothing bad had happened, though he didn't know what'd be the worst thing that could happen.
"Who the hell are you...?" The purple haired hybrid asked, hesitance and distrust practically radiating from his being.
Shouto was expecting this to happen. "My name is Todoroki Shouto. I know Izuku, and I'm here to do whatever I can to help. Aizawa-Sensei called me here, so I'll try all I can to help," he trained his gaze upon Hitoshi's, determined to get his point across. Hitoshi let your soon after, muttering something Shouto didn't catch. He turned his gaze to Aizawa, directing his next question to him. "What do you want me to do? What have you tried already?"
"We're not sure if he'll have a reaction to anyone specifically, so just try anything. We're just trying to find out how we can bring him back." Yamada answered, his eyes not leaving Izuku's face.
Shouto nodded, slipping an arm under Izuku's shoulders and propping him up against the dual haired teen's knee. "What happened in the first place that led to this?" He asked, watching as Aizawa and Yamada stood up to go watch-out for anyone else.
Hitoshi hummed softly, as of sorting his thoughts. "He contacted our Gods to help the rest of our kin. But, this usually doesn't happen. It has happened in the past, but it's not a common occurrence. So I don't know much about it. Wait... hold on for a moment," the purplenette stood up and wandered over to a house, entering and exiting a few minutes later with a book in hand. He motioned for Shouto to come over to him as the rain wouldn't help with reading outside. Shouto scooped Izuku up and headed over, entering the building and walking over to where Hitoshi stood. He set Izuku down on a table as Hitoshi opened the book he held, turning to a specific page. He set it down, finger skimming across the page. "Here. Some of the elders have dealt with things like this before. It says that it's different with every hybrid that's experienced this, so there's no set way to wake them up. But, I guess this is all worth tryin-"
He was cut off when the door slammed open, 3 shadows stretching across the floor as the figures entered. Hitoshi unsheathed his claws, ready to attack, but Shouto stopped him. "Hold on. They're with me," he said, pushing Hitoshi back from attacking. "It's about time you guys got here. We need you're help."
"Yeah, yeah, icyhot. Shut ya fucking trap already. We're here fucking now, aren't we?" Katsuki stepped forwards, hands curled into fists.
"Yep! So, what's going on?" Denki asked, swinging an arm over Katsuki's shoulder and ignoring his disgruntled annoyance.
"Yeah! We're here to help however we can!" Ejirou smiled over at the two who stood next to the downed hybrid laying on the table.
"Just get over here. We may have found something that'll help," Shouto turned back to Hitoshi who had calmed down a bit, going back to the book he'd set down. "Now, what are we going to try?"
