It took awhile, but Izuku eventually woke. He blinked his eyes open, groaning slightly as he took in the sight around him. His friends who stood over him stepped back as he pushed himself up, rubbing his head and grumbling something under his breath. His ears perked up and his tail swayed lightly as he looked around the room. "The... library...?" He muttered, turning to Hitoshi who nodded in confirmation. "What was that...? That was so strange..." he shook his head a few times, trying to clear his muddled thoughts before swinging his legs over the side of the table he sat upon. He stood up, stumbling slightly before regaining his centre of balance. It was then that he actually registered Shouto, Katsuki, Ejirou and Denki standing there. "What are you all doing here? And how did you get here anyway?"
"We were worried about you, man!" Ejirou replied, stepping up and patting the greenette on the back. "We didn't know what had happened to you, so we came up here as fast as possible."
"Aizawa-Sensei contacted me because you weren't waking up. I sent out a message to the others later to come and help too." Shouto explained, staying where he was next to Hitoshi.
"Yeah! I'm glad that you're back up again. You really had us all worried." Denki seemed to sag is relief as if the express how he felt.
"Tch. These idiots were worried. It's about fucking time you woke up anyway," Katsuki's harsh tone did nothing to stir Izuku or the others, as it was a regular occurrence at this point. "If you hadn't fucking woken up, I would've blown your head apart with my own two hands."
Izuku sweatdropped before turning his attention to Hitoshi who stood there silently. "What happened while I was out? And where's Aizawa and Yamada? Where are they right now?" He watched as Hitoshi walked over to the window that was covered by a black sheet, pulling it open and saying, "look for yourself." Izuku walked over and peered out the window, a short gasp of surprise escaping his throat as he peered across his kin's home. "They're back! They're all back!" He exclaimed, grabbing Hitoshi's shoulders and shaking his back and forth as he repeated the phrase over and over. "They're really all back here! This is amazing! How did this happen?! What happened?! What did I miss?! Tell me!!"
"Woah, woah! Calm down there, Izuku!" Hitoshi grabbed Izuku's hands and pulled them off his shoulders, breathing in deeply as he rolled his shoulders. "Damn, you're gonna break my shoulders at this rate. But you know how you contacted the Gods, right? Well, during that time, Aizawa, Yamada and myself went and took down the number 1 hunter and basically put him on a podium as an example to other hunters. Also, the Gods sent their wrath down on the hunters organisation to send a message. They've quickly stopped and retreated, allowing our kin to come back and reside here after we scared the guard into opening the gate. Now we're all here. As for Aizawa and Yamada, they're dealing with the fallout and basically saying that we can live among the humans in peace, as long as there isn't any animosity between both groups."
Izuku absorbed all of the information, nodding along as he let out a silent, 'ohh'. He opened his mouth to ask some more questions before Hitoshi cut him off with one last tidbit. "Also, the Gods have relinquished some of the taboos that were set long ago as a precaution measure. One of those being a romantic relationship between hybrid and human. They said to specifically mention that one to you for some reason. Said it had something to do with his whole issue." Hitoshi shrugged.
"Yeahhh, that's to do with my mum. Anyways, that's great news! Amazing news even! I have to go say hi the everyone!" Before any of the could even try to stop him, Izuku was racing out of the small library and towards his kin, shouting "hi!" to everyone.
Hitoshi let out a sigh of defeat and shook his head, a small smile settled on his face. He turned to the humans that stood around in the room awkwardly, not knowing what they should or could do. "Come on. I'm sure the others would like to meet you all," he beckoned them with a wave of his hand, exiting the place with them trailing behind slowly. They were nervous as to how the hybrids would react, but at the same time excited, even Katsuki was slightly excited, to meet so many new hybrids and learn more about them. "Hey guys! You got some time to spare!"
That was all it took for the four teens to be dragged into the group of hybrids as they chatted animatedly. It was all so much that they could barely take any of it in, but they still enjoyed their time there. Meanwhile, Aizawa and Yamada, as well as other teachers of UA including the principal, all got together and shared an announcement that was broadcasted live across the region about the hybrids and their civilisation and how they were to become apart of their human society as equals. They were to be treated like other humans and to be included in society, even though they may be different and another species. Their speech ended off with Aizawa saying this. "Those these hybrids are different from us in many ways that we might yet to understand, they are still people apart of this world. Therefore, because they are people much like us, they should be treated as such and welcomed into our society with open arms. Discrimination against them should not and will not be tolerated. They will live among us peacefully. Thank you for listening."
And that was the start of this new life. Hybrids amongst humans. Humans amongst hybrids. It was to become the social norm in coming years. Even through the trying times that led up to this inclusion, the hybrids were still glad enough to have a place to stay and not have to leave this region they'd come to know as their home.
