The Brunch

Next day. Morning. At Bass Industries.

I walked around. Blair throwing a nice Brunch for Chuck's "crowning" to be the head of Bass Industries and all that was missing was Chuck. 

Blair walked over to me "hey, Fla"

I smiled "hey, how was your non-date with Chuck last night?"

She took a deep breath "he had to reschedule"

  I chuckled. 

Blair "this is not funny. "

I nodded "but it is"

Suddenly my phone buzzed. I looked at it. 

Blair "is that Chuck?"

Me "worse"

She rolled her eyes "Jack"

I answered "where are you?"

Jack "nice to hear you too, Fla"

Me "Jack"

Jack "we're pulling up, don't worry"

Then i hung up. 

Blair "now you'll see, we're just friends"

I nodded amused "of course"

Then i took a sip of my champagne. 

I looked around and saw Serena with Dan. 

Blair clapped in her hand "excuse me, please be quiet. Chuck and his uncle Jack are on their way up"

Suddenly we started to sing but we stopped when Jack walked in instead of Chuck. 

I walked to him "where' Chuck?"

Jack "relax. HE's in his office. i don't know how much he'll get done after the night we had. "

Blair walked to us, confused "what? i thought he was working"

Penelope showed up and took Blair aside. 

I looked at Jack "what do you mean Chuck was out with you last night?"

Suddenly Pete and Alice walked to us. 

Pete shook Jack's hand "Jack, where's our guest of honor?"

Jack smiled "Pete, Alice, glad you could make it. Flavia, this is Pete Holmberg, Alice Cashman, members of Bass Industries' board"

I smiled "nice to meet you"

Jack "Chuck's hard at work upstairs, actually. You should go see him. Perhaps Flavia could show you the way"

i smiled "gladly, follow me"

Then i walked with them to Chuck's office. 

I knocked and walked in "chuck, there's some-"

My  jaw dropped. Chuck was sitting there with two half naked girls and was smoking weed. 

Me "Chuck!"

He looked up. 

Pete "that is Chuck Bass?"

Chuck pushed the girl off his lap "yeah, who the hell are you?"

Pete "Pete Holmberg. I'm on the board of Bass Industries."

Chuck froze. 

I shook my head and walked out. 

I walked back in the main room and grabbed a glass of champagne. 

Chuck followed us and started to talk to Pete. 

I saw Serena walk out. 

Pete walked out. 

Chuck walked to me "did you do this?"

Me "do what? support you? yes"

Chuck "i don't need your help. Stop trying to play the wife"

I scoffed and he walked out. 

at home. In my room. 

I was sitting on the bed with Serena. 

Me "so it's true? we have a half sibling? and it's half Humphrey?"

Serena nodded "yes"

Gossip Girl had dropped a bomb at the Brunch. looks like mom and Rufus had a baby before they separated. Mom gave it away before she could tell Rufus. 

There was a knock on my door. 

I looked up and saw Eric standing in the doorframe. 

Eric "hey"

Me "come in"

He walked into the room and sat down next to me on the bed. 

Serena shook her head "i can't believe Dan didn't tell me"

Me "i can't believe Mom didn't tell us"

Eric "have any of you spoken to her?"

Me "voice mail"

Eric nodded "me too"

He looked at us "are you okay?"

Me "mom should've told us. "

Eric "it sounds like it's got Grandma written all over it"

I nodded "and it reeks of Gin and Chanel No. Five"

Eric nodded "it is so weird that we have a half ..something. "

I nodded. 

Serena "and so do Dan and Jenny"

Eric "are you and Dan gonna be okay?"

She shrugged "i don't know. with the idea of mom and Rufus dating, and now i share a sibling with my boyfriend? that's---that's a little more hillbilly than i can handle. "

Eric "it is a little twisted. But so what, right?"

Serena "what if we can't get past it?"

Eric shrugged "i don't know. but you can't push Dan right now. whatever you're going through right now..he's going through the same thing."

I took a deep breath "Eric, i love you"

He smiled. 

Me "well, i know what you all have to do now?"

They nodded. 

Serena stood up "I'm gonna head out"

I nodded. 

Eric "I had some plans tonight but i guess i'm canceling my plans "

I looked at him confused "why?"

Eric "i don't wanna leave you alone right now. "

I smiled and hugged him "i love you, bro!"

He chuckled.
