Next day. Morning. 

I walked downstairs and saw Dan and Serena, Mom and Rufus standing in the kitchen. 

I walked into the kitchen "oh what a nice family meeting"

Mom "well, not that this is all out in the open, maybe we can stop sneaking around"

Me "please, keep sneaking around"

Mom shot me a look "i mean, we've had the awkward run-in, and it isn't so bad"

Me "it's a disaster. "

Mom shot me another look "i don't know why we thought this would be so weird"

Me "maybe because you are dating the father of the boy your daughter is dating and didn't tell us you have a child with that man"

Dan nodded "good point"

I smiled "thanks"

Dan looked at Serena "let' leave now"

Serena nodded"nice try, mom"

They left. 

Mom looked at Rufus "so i was thinking, tonight-"

I grimaced "ew, i'm still here"

Then i ran to the elevator "hold the doors open"

Serena held them open and i walked in. 

Then she hit the button for the lobby.

I was standing between the couple. 

Me "this is so awkward"

Serena nodded "yep"

At school. 

I walked inside. People were waiting for the results of the colleges. Well, i was going to Stanford but i don't know if i'm gonna skip the first year or not. 

I bumped into someone. Nate. 

He smiled "hey, Flavia"

I froze confused "hey?"

Nate "you okay?"

i nodded"yeah, but i didn't think-- okay, what do you need"

Nate"i just wanted to ask if you're going to the Opera with your family tonight?"

I nodded "yeah, you?"

Nate nodded "yeah"

I nodded "okay"

Then i turned around but he grabbed my arm "wait"

I turned to him "yeah?"

Nate "i wanna apologize"

I asked confused "for what?"

Nate "the way i treated you at the snowflake ball, i 'm sorry"

I nodded "okay"

He nodded. 

Me "Are you and Vanessa official now?"

Nate nodded, smiling "yeah"

My heart dropped. 

I nodded "okay. see you"

Outside. 

I walked to Serena who was talking to Dan. 

Me "and? how's the result?"

Serena "I'm "wait-listed""

My eyes widened "what? why?"

Serena shrugged "i don't know. I mean, Blair's too, soo"
