I was walking upstairs.

Nate was meeting someone. He's been doing it a lot lately. He even asked me to cover for him. We're friends even though i can't help but feel a little sting every time he tells me he meets that woman.

My phone buzzed.

I took it out and read "Spotted--Blair Waldorf at Charles de Gaulle Homeward Bound. What could possibly make Queen B. her two dads before labor day? We bet Chuck Bass wants to know. "

I rolled my eyes and knocked on the open door of Chuck's room.

He was looking into the mirror.

I leaned against the door frame "this is the first time i've seen you look in the mirror all summer. I thought you would turn to stone if you did. Why so nervous?"

Chuck "I'm on my way out to Lily Pond. With the triplets returning to Rio, i thought i'd continue my tour of south America"

I looked around and saw the flowers on the bed.

Chuck "i'm thinking Argentina"

Me "Are the flowers for me or for someone else?"

Chuck looked away.

Me "I knew you were eavesdropping with my phone call with B. the other day. She was telling that she's on her way out here on the jitney"

Chuck looked at me "what's a Jitney?"

I crossed my arms over my chest "I love you, Chuck, you know that. And because i love you i have to tell you this: Blair will never forgive you for what you did to her"

Yeah, turned out they didn't go to France together. Chuck dumped her.

Chuck "you told that little piece of advice your "boyfriend" Nate?"

Me "Nate didn't say anything. "

Chuck nodded "Good, 'cause i don't think it's wise taking relationship advice from somebody in a fake relationship. Call me crazy"
