"Do you have everything ready Chipmunk?" Dad asked me as I walked into the kitchen, half awake and slightly confused about my surroundings. My mind is still half turned off by the lack of sleep I've had.
"Why can't we leave at ten like a normal family" I groaned as I slid into the bar stool around the island. Putting my forehead against the cold marble top I closed my eyes again, drifting off to sleep.
"Marbles drooling on the counter" I heard someone in the background making my head jerk up. Slightly drowsed off I looked at Noah as he just walked into the kitchen, half-naked, and with a sleepy smirk on his lips. Scrunching my nose up I gave him a disgusted look before bringing my hand up to my mouth to see that I actually did drool.
"Paper" I grumbled, holding out my hand over the island for someone to hand me some. Cole, Noah, and Luke that was all sitting around the table looked at my hand, acknowledging it before going back to their phones. Giving it another second I dropped my hand down on the island before reaching over to the paper. Getting a piece I wiped off my mouth and the pool of drool that was on the island.
"We are going early because that means we will be able to get there before it gets too late," Dad said, leaning against the counter behind me, sipping on his black coffee. Turning I gave him a blank look before looking to my right to the clock hanging on the wall.
Gosh, it was only five in the morning. This is ridiculous.
"We might be there for dinner if we leave in about an hour," Dad told me putting his hand on my shoulder. "Grandpas making pie," Dad said to me making me sit up a little. The sound of grandpas pie made me wake up slightly.
If there's one thing I love, it's grandpas apple pie. There's nothing like it.It's the day before Thanksgiving and we are all on our way to go to grandmas and grandpas house where everyone in the family meets. I'm going to meet my cousins again. The last time I saw them was sometime during summer break when they came to visit. It's a tradition to go over to their house and celebrate Thanksgiving, stay for two days and then go home. I would be excited but the weight on my eyelids took that excitement away.
It was always a Blizz at their house. The blue colored house was big and could fit around twelve beds. I would always share with my cousin which was something I was excited for. Seeing my cousins. I knew my brothers were excited too. We always had a blast with them even if some of them was as annoying as my brothers.
"Okay but I want to get something to eat during the trip"
Dad nodded "Do you think I would sit in a car with the five of you without calming you down with food?" He said shaking his head at me like it was obvious. I guess he learns after some years what happen in a tight space with all of us, tired and hungry. Could there be anything worse? "We're taking the van and I've made the seating so don't even argue about it" Dad said making me rais my eyebrows and look over at my brothers. They shrugged so I just put my head back on the counter.
"Chipmunk get something to eat before we leave, you too Noah"
Groaning I got off the chair and got cereal from the pantry. Getting the milk I grabbed a bowl and poured it up.
"Noah can you give me a spoon," I asked him as he was standing over at the spoons. Opening the drawer he got the spoon. I stretched my hand out to get it but instead of giving it to me he tossed it, making it hit my cheek.
"Ow, what the fuck!" Putting my hand on my cheek I glared at Noah as he just shrugged. My hand formed into a fist and I glared at his bare back "Jerk, I don't understand how so many people stand to watch you"
