My phone buzzed, an echo following in the shell of a room I had. Looking around my bed I found my phone over to the left. Grabbing it I looked at who decided to interrupt my online room shopping.
At dinner, we all kept talking about how we wanted our rooms and other spaces to look like. Clara was overly excited about what towels she wanted to get for the bathrooms along with what curtains she wanted for the big windows. Noah kept going on about his ideas for a space for his youtube channel and all the cool ideas he had for the gym. Luke wouldn't shut up about the space under the stairs and how he would make the library themed after Harry Potter. Cole was probably the quietest one along with Maise who seemed to be in their own conversation about something completely different. Mason sounded the most excited about the music room while I, was going on about my room and how I wanted to set it up.
My screen lit up and Andrews's name popped up with an incoming call. A smile spread out on my face and I picked up, sitting up in bed from my laying position.
"Hi welcome to pizza hut what would you like to order," Andrews's voice said in a deep voice.
I huffed a laugh "Hi could I get a big Hawaii along with some painting help" I answered back.
"Alrighty one hawa-ew and sorry ma'am painting help is not on our menu," his light teasing voice said back.
"Pineapple on pizza is good!" I defended myself.
"People who think pineapple on pizza is good are actually mental" His voice was deadly serious but I could hear and tell that he was messing with me.
"Are you calling me mental?"
"Do you like pineapple on your pizza?"
"Yes"
"Alright so I'm picking you up in five to go to the mental hospital, sounds good?" He said and I laughed. He joined in and my laughter bounced off the walls in my empty room.
"Do you actually need paining help though, because I'm free" His suggestion made my smile widened. I didn't want to say anything but I really did want his help. Not only did I miss being with him since we haven't seen each other for a week or so but I also couldn't reach all the way up to the ceiling.
"Are you bringing my pizza as well?"
He laughed "If you think I'm buying a pizza with pineapple on it then you're crazy"
I rolled my eyes "Okay no pizza" I said with a pout even though he couldn't see me. "But yes painting help would be very appreciated, I got eight walls to cover"
I could hear him shuffle around on the other side of the phone "I've actually wanted to see your house, it looks so nice from what I've seen on Noah's video and the pictures you've sent" there was a pause "And we haven't seen each other in like a week now"
I hid my smile in my knees as I brought them closer to my chest. Andrew and I have seen each other some over the months that had passed. In school, we couldn't talk too much since we were in different grades and our schedules were very different but we made sure to see each other outside of school at least. It seems like every time we were with each other the urge to be with him got stronger and I just wanted to see him the next day. Our relationship was strange, I don't quite know what to call it if I'm being completely honest. It seemed like more than friends but we weren't together. We had that one night where we got really close to doing stuff and then another time after that when I stayed late at his house to watch a movie a while back.
I'd be dumb not to realize that there were feelings involved, but was I ready? Would he even want a relationship with me? I mean we've been talking a lot and we seem to be having mutual feelings. One thing that's changed is Noah's and his friendship. They still talked, almost more than before. It was like Andrew's and I's relationship had brought them closer as well. Andrew had called one night seeming quite amused by my brother who had asked him several questions surrounding me and how he was "treating" me.
