N O A H
Rushing through the white corridors of the hospital was a dread. Stair by stair we ran up followed by corridor after corridor. Looking to my left, Mason and Cole were both rushing to the room where they had Lara. An image of her lifeless body wouldn't stop flashing across my mind. Mason had a phone placed to his ear as he was talking to dad. To my left was Luke with tears falling down on his cheeks and he seemed lost in thought. Luke started crying in the car and all I could do was rub his shoulder and try convincing him that it was going to be alright long side Cole while Mason sped down the road.
Step by step I searched the numbers on the walls as we passed by the doors. Nurses looked our way as we hurried. When Andrew called we rushed into Mason's car to get to the hospital. Why did he even know where she was.
We took a corner into a sitting area where Andrew was sitting on one of the couches. His hands were wrapped up in his hair and arms in his knees and looked up at the sudden sound. He immediately stood as he noticed us.
"Where is she?" I asked and he swallowed.
"She's two doors down but the doctors said no one can go in there yet" We all looked down the corridor to the door and I was tempted to walk in there besides what the doctors had said.
"Is she okay?" Mason asked bringing back the attention to Andrew.
Andrews looked down at the ground for a second. "I. I don't know"
"What the fuck happened?" I asked as worry started rising in the form of anger. The blame I had worsened by a hundred and the weight was sinking me down.
"She fell" He answered shortly. There was a followed silence.
"Let's just" Mason let out a heavy breath" Sit down and talk and you can tell us everything?" He suggested and Andrew looked up at Mason and gave him a nod.
We took place around in the sitting area with the dull green couches and white walls. Andrews' fingers kept fidgeting as if he tried to make a knot with his own hands to get rid of his fear.
"Tell us what happened. From the beginning" Cole said. Andrew breathed out and nodded.
He meet my eyes along with my brothers and then down to the corridor where Lara was held "I found her in the cemetery. She was shivering cold and drenched and it looked like she had been there for a while. I didn't realize that it was her before she lifted her eyes. I offered to take her home but she said she didn't want to so I took her home to me. At first, she told me she could walk on her own but she clearly couldn't so I carried her and she fell asleep. When we got to my house she woke up and we watched a movie" He paused and looked up at us "We-we didn't do anything" He reassured us "The next day she still didn't want to go home so I gave her company to get her thoughts on other things and we went to the mall. When we got back from the mall we were just dancing" He looked down again as his eyes darted from one foot to another "And- and she fell down the stairs when she didn't realize how close she was"
When he had finished I was shocked but in a way relieved. She had been okay and I'm in a way glad Andrew was there. Andrews a good friends of mine and I do trust him even if the thought of my little sister and my friend hanging out and sleeping together made me a bit uneasy.
"You could have fucking told us that you were with her" I spoke up as I know for a fact that he got my number in his phone. If he was my friend then he could have just hit me a text telling us that she was okay. Even if- even if she wasn't fine right now. And that's our fault.
"Bro she didn't want to talk to you" He shot back.
"DId you know how fucking worried we were! I didn't get an ounce of sleep!"
