"Shhhhhhhhhh" A girl says. I giggle quietly.
"I can hear your laugh," he says.
I open my mouth to speak. "Really?"
He nods. "In my soul,"
I almost tear up. What would it be like to not hear?
To not recognize a sound?
To not know someone's voice?
I think about these questions as I watch Alex read.
His eyes weave through each word, and his heart beats loudly. I can hear it thumping.
I lean against him.
He feels warm.
I like Alex a lot.

"Test is Tuesday!" Mister YMan calls as I dash out of the Study room.
Mister YMan helps me with Math. He also helps teach Science. He's basically a tutor for a class of 5.
A great tutor.
Instead of hanging out with Mary, I now hang out with Alex.
I know almost everything about him.
I barely ever see Mary anymore. The only place I see her is in Math. She's always giggling with Lexi LeeLen or Jessica. Sometimes she's even flirting with Cam. I miss her.
A lot.

"So, test ah?" Great Grandma asks.
"Yes Great Grandma," I say.
"A big test!" Grandpa laughs. "Knowledge is a big part of tests, and also life. Except their are no retakes in life so..."
"Choose wisely," I finish.
