The material plane is called Yuta, it has existed for only a few dozen centuries compared to the outer planes of existence.

It is said that the first life found in Yuta were snake-like humanoids who called themselves the Yuan-Ti. The Yuan-Ti worshipped their god and creator Sseth, he brought them prosperity, power, and control of the large southern landmass. The Yuan-Ti empire dubbed this their holy land and called it Sasood, for many generations, they accumulated knowledge, and wisdom of the arcane, and their emperors and high priests were blessed with the powers of Sseth, raw divine energy a form of magic they called wild magic.

A hundred years passed, and the Yuan-Ti began to notice the beginnings of new civilizations in the neighboring continents. Their first meeting with these beings was that of a large fleet of ships that landed on their shores, This was the seafaring warrior race of the Minotaurs, and despite their knowledge and magical power the Yuan-Ti numbers and brute strength were not enough, after 50 years of fighting, the empire began to crumble. With the hierarchy split, Yuan-Ti factions began to scatter across the continents to hide and rebuild strength, they would not be seen again for centuries.

On the continent to the west, emerging from a flash of unknown energy, a monumental city emerged. From within the city, tall skinny figures with pointed ears and powerful energy of nature itself came forth, a race calling themselves the Elves had created their foothold in the material plane. Quickly expanding and taking over the continent they were on, but never expanding further, the elves kept to themselves and did not seem to have an interest in global domination. The furthest these people found themselves, was the small centermost continent, where they discovered a race of small humanoid creatures hiding in the jungles that covered the landscape. Still primitive in society, but in tune with nature and wildlife, the elves took a liking to this race and created an alliance with the tribes there, naming this species of humanoids Gnomes.

To the east on the final continent, the primates of the forests and jungles began to slowly evolve into a race calling themselves Humans, with a close cousin evolving next to them, only shorter than them, seeing as how they appeared to only be half of a human in size, they reluctantly took up the name of Halfling. The two societies coexisting began to flourish and create a kingdom of man on the eastern continent, however during their colonization of the lands, they met a hardy, stocky race of hard-headed creatures with a hidden mountain kingdom called Dwarves, Brief skirmishes occurred, but eventually, a treaty was signed allowing the dwarves control of their kingdom, and the right to do as they pleased in the lands of man.

Man's greed knew no boundaries, and eventually, they began invading Sasood, in an attempt to conquer it and take the rare gems found for themselves. The armies of Human, Halfling, and Dwarf encountered the minotaurs and a 3-year-long war began. It only ended when the Kingdom of Man pushed the minotaur tribes to extinction, and with their victory, they gave the land to the halfling renaming the nation Daroot.

This was the catalyst for the wars that began to consume the material plane. From the mountains to the north, a race of large humanoids, called Goliaths by the men who faced them began to sweep through the Kingdom of Man their might and resilience stifling any attempts to stop their advance with ease. To the west, the Elves and Gnomes grew tired of humankind's insolence and began an invasion of Daroot and the human kingdom. The elven nature energy had been mixed with the knowledge of captured Yuan-Ti wild magic, and the first controllable magic, the ancestor of magic today was born. This arcane energy was too much for the Goliath forces, and they surrendered within a few years of fighting, however, the Kingdom of Man did not submit so easily. Humans, Dwarves, and Halflings fought Elves and Gnomes for hundreds of years until a new foe appeared. Coming from an unknown land, horned human-looking creatures called Tiefling, joined by dark-skinned elves called Drow, and thin green elf-looking creatures calling themselves Gith emerged in Daroot and destroyed the Kingdom of Man's foothold in Daroot.
