“Pare, minahal ko naman sya.” Pinagpipilitan ni Jeric sa mga kaibigan nya. “Minahal ko talaga.”

“Oo nga. Alam namin yun.” Sagot naman sa kanya ni Aljon. “Alam namin yun pero …”

“Pero, pare, minsan may mga bagay talaga na hindi na pwede pang ipagpilitan pa.” Giit naman ni Paolo, inabutan ulit sya ng isang bote pa ng beer.

“Gusto mo ng malinaw na example nun?” Kevin asked. “Kayo!” Sabay poke sa braso ni Jeric.

“Kilala nyo ko. Kung kaya pang ayusin, aayusin.”

“Pero hindi na nga kaya.” Sabay-sabay nilang giniit kay Jeric.

He was left alone sa condo nya. He’s actually waiting for her to come home but it’s already 1am and there wasn’t even a single knock on the door. Kahit lasing na lasing at antok na antok na sya, he still tried to stay up a little bit longer. Baka sakaling umuwi na sya.

He woke up the next morning. All he has is a stupid hangover.

And a handwritten letter on the dining table.

“Jeric, Kinuha ko na yung mga gamit ko. Wala ng natira dyan na makakapagpaalala sakin sayo. Just know that I’m doing this for good. This will be the best for both of us. I hope you’ll move on … because I will and I don’t want you to dwell in the past. I loved you but you’re just not ready to commit. It’s hard being in an unlabeled relationship, Jeric. “Uy, pare! Di ka late!” Greet ni Aljon sa kanya. “First time.”

Ngumiti lang sya in return at umupo.

“Nasan na sila?”

“On the way na daw si Paolo tapos si Kaizen,” Aljon looked around at napakamot na lang sya sa ulo nang hindi nya makita ang hinahanap. “Ewan ko. Nandyan lang yun kanina.”

“Si Ferrer?”

“Ah … eh … papunta na daw.”

“Okay.”

“Sure ka bang okay lang sayo na pumunta sya?”

“Oo naman.” He faked a smile. “Bakit hindi?”

“Ah … wala … wala naman.”

“Sinong namiss nyo?” Malakas na sigaw ni Kevin sa barkada.

“Keviiiiiiiiiiin!” They exclaimed at sabay-sabay na tumayo para yakapin si Kevin. Isang buwan na din kasi nilang hindi nakakasama si Kevin sa mga lakad ng barkada kaya ganun na lang nila ito namiss.
