You only wanted to protect me,
Use the shield which you own.
Use your power how you wish.
But there's things which you must know.

"OMG are you ok?!"

Now lay on the floor, slight scorch marks appearing on his body and an unnerving sizzling sound radiating from his fist, was A. Blinking slowly, he pushed himself up into a sitting position and put a hand to his head.

"Ugghh... I don't feel so good..." he murmered, feeling someone place a hand on his shoulder. Looking up, he opened his mouth to say something but froze.

Still leant back on his one arm, the other raised in front of him for protection, was Virgil. His face was terrified, eyes wide as he stared at what was now in front of him. Coming from the arm which contained his bracelet was a round, purple shield. It crackled and fizzed, sparks flying off of it in all directions. As though... as though it was made of electricity. It was a few moments of terror and silence before the yells began.

"Holy shit he got electrocuted!! Someone please help him!!"

"Stay with us! See if he's still breathing!!"

"Call the ambulance! HURRY UP!!"

Breathing heavily, Virgil stayed frozen on the floor as he stared at the shield. "Hah" he breathed out, whispering "a shield.." Why the fuck was there a shield? It had been as though one moment he had been quivering, unable to move, frozen from the fear of inescapable death and destruction, the next he was looking up to see this god damn shield producing itself in front of him. Just what the hell was going on?

Virgil caught his reflection in the mirror-like surface of the shield. He blinked slowly and leant forward so that he could see better.

"What the hell... my eyes..." shakily lifting a hand, Virgil touched the area of skin just below his eyes as he stared at them. They were purple. A darker purple which got lighter as it neared the centre where, instead of the usual black circle was a gold lighting bolt. Exactly-

Lifting his arm a bit, the shield moved with him. It followed his every move, the sparks that shot out and landed on his skin having no affect at all. He looked at what he had been searching for, the bracelet. The lighting bolt was exactly the same as the one on the bracelet. He forgot how to breathe for a minute as he eyes darted between the bracelet and his reflection, the shield and the bracelet, his eyes and the shield.

"What kind of witchcraft is that thing even?" Someone asked, draping A around their shoulder to support him.

"Who cares! Let's get outta here man!"

Remy chuckled slightly and shook his head, taking a long sip from his drink. "Ah ah ah." He looked up and raised a eyebrow towards the group of people, casting merely a glance over towards Virgil to make sure he was alright. "Not so fast buddy!"

He took another sip from his drink and adjusted his sunglasses so that they were sat properly on his face. "Emile!" he called out, smiling slightly as the other man stepped forward. Emile moved a wavy piece of hair out of his face and pushed his glasses up onto the bridge of his nose with one finger. "How about you show these bastards what you can do, huh?" He took a step backwards, having another sip from the cup in his hand.

It had been so long since he had been able to watch Em does what he does best, other then getting people to talk. He was brilliant at that, but also had an incredible ability to change people's minds. A grin spread across Remy's face. He could change people's minds in more ways then one.

Emile adjusted his tie and stepped forward so that he was closer to A. "Aye aye, boss!" He replied, voice chirpy. "Now.." Tilting his head slightly, he examined the people in front of him, a slight frown appearing on his face.

The group had begun to retreat backwards, stumbling over one another to get as far away from Emile as was possible. Emile tutted.

'So rude' he thought to himself, raising a hand as to make a stop signal in front of him, directed towards the group. 'I've not even started yet'.

"Stay there!" He called out, watching as A froze, eyes wide as he stared at Emile from a scorched face. Smiling slightly, almost comfortingly, Emile ran a quick hand through his hair to get it out of his eyes and walked towards A. "And don't move" he finished.

Emile lowered his voice so that it was a calming whisper "Don't worry!" he murmered, now close enough to the man in front of him that they're noses were almost touching. "I won't do anything that will damage your brain. Just alter your memory a bit, so stay calm and look at me, ok?" He let out a low hum, the finest of smirks appearing on his lips as he added quietly "though I can destroy your mind completely." An afterthought, but Emile decided that they deserved a bit of terror after what they had done to Virgil.

The dark hazel eyes hidden behind Emile's glasses began to shift, change into something different. Remy smiled and sipped his drink. He loved this part the best, when Emile got to work.

Hazel began to swirl, merging and mixing with pink and light blue, a gradient of colour that appeared in his iris. The colours were bright, sparkling almost as Emile tilted his head in the other direction and continued to stare directly at A. Placed delicately in the centre of the swirling colours was a bright yellow star, so bright that it almost appeared white in the light. It looked as though glitter had been thrown around the star, as the sun caught on it and made it glimmer with something almost heavenly.

"Ahhh" Emile bit his lip, smiling apologetically "this is gonna be painful for a bit to be honest."

You only wanted to protect me,
No you're not alone.
You're power, though is unique
And until now was unknown.
