Mackenzie

When they walk into the cafeteria, they see Mackenzie talking with some of their classmates. "She's probably telling them embarrassing stuff about me."
"Lets hear what they're talking about."
They go over to Mackenzie's table and sit.
"Rachel, we were just talking about you. Remember that time you fell down the stairs?" Everyone at the table laughs.
"Rachel, you said you were rugged but you never said you were also funny." One of their classmates says.
Mackenzie stops laughing, "rugged? Funny? Rachel isn't any of those things, she's just a loser and a klutz. Did you know that she got expelled?"
Nikki and Dawn look at Rachel, she shakes her head and mouths 'she's lying' to them.
"Yeah, we know," Lauren says, "she told us". She tells Mackenzie everything Rachel said and Mackenzie laughs.
"You guys really believed all that? She was obviously lying, she didn't get expelled, she just couldn't handle it anymore."
"But you just said-"
"I lied."
"I see what's going on here. You're jealous of Rachel so you're making up all these stories so we'll think she's lame," Lauren says.
"Actually, I am," Rachel says, "everything that Mackenzie said is true, I made all those stories up because I wanted you guys to like me but now that you know....can we start over?"
They are silent for a moment but Lauren finally speaks, "I think I speak for all of us when I say....... hello no. Why would we wanna be friends with a loser?"
"Yeah, are you that pathetic that you have to lie about yourself?" A girl says.
"I can't believe I actually talked to a loser, I even borrowed your pen. Ugh! Now I probably have to cut my hand off or something!"
"I think you should leave Rachel." Mackenzie smiles, "this table isn't meant for losers."
Rachel is taken aback, she was expecting them to forget about all the lies and be friends with the real her.
"Hey!" Nikki slams her hand on the table and everyone, including Dawn and Rachel, jump a little.
"Nikki, its fine. Don't worry about it," Rachel says.
"She's the one who needs to worry." Nikki points at Mackenzie who shrinks into her seat at Nikki's harsh glare.
"You better sleep with one eye open," Nikki says menacingly.

"Lets talk about how we're going to get back at Mackenzie during detention," Dawn says as she takes her books from her locker.
"Lets just forget about it," Rachel says.
Dawn looks at Nikki, expecting her to jump in and say something that'll convince Rachel but Nikki is staring at something. "Nikki?"
"I agree with Rachel," Nikki suddenly says.
"What?" Both Dawn and Rachel are surprised.
"I have a better mission," Nikki continues.
"From where?"
"Just something random," Nikki says, looking anywhere but Dawn and Rachel, "we don't talk to people that aren't in our grade so our mission is to make friends with someone who isn't in our grade."
"Is this about your sister?"
"How does this have anything to do with her?" Nikki asks, a but irked at the mention of her sister.
"She's a social butterfly whose friends with everyone so you want to be like her."
"No way, why on earth would I ever want to be like her? Let's just focus on the mission, we'll have to befriend the first person we see. Oh, look, there's a guy over there, let's go talk to him," Nikki says, referring to a guy a few lockers down chatting with his friends. Nikki is very good at acting but Dawn knows when she is.
"I knew it, you've been ogling at that guy for like ever," Dawn says.
"What guy?" Rachel looks around the hall, looking for the boy they're talking about.
"Two years." Nikki says, ignoring Rachel's question, "not forever."
"You've had a crush on him for two years?" Dawn asked, "and you're telling me this now?"
"Stop making such a big deal out of it, its a normal thing that happens to teenagers."
"Then why hasn't it happened to me?" Dawn asks.
"Because you're not normal," Nikki answers in a 'duh' time as they walk to their class, leaving Rachel, who's still searching the crowd, behind.
"Are we forgetting something?" Dawn asks.
"If we forgot it, its probably not important." Nikki shrugs.

"So, whats the plan?" Dawn asks Nikki as they sit on one of the desks beside the window.
"Plan for what?" Nikki asks, feigning ignorance.
"To get that guy to like you," Dawn says.
"I call him Mystery Guy, MG for short," Nikki says.
"Wait, you don't know his name?"
"Yeah."
"How can you like a guy whose name you don't even know?" Dawn asks.
"The heart wants what it wants." Nikki shrugs and Dawn sighs and shakes her head.
"I forgot to refill my water bottle," Dawn says, holding her half full water bottle.
"So?"
"I can't drink from a half empty bottle." Dawn reaches her hand out the window to pour the water out.
"Don't, the water may pour on some-"
Too late, Dawn had already started pouring the water out before she heard Nikki and stopped. They both lean out the window to see that the water landed on someone.
"Duck." Dawn says and ducks just before the boy looks up to see who dumped the water on him. He spots Nikki who was frozen in place, he glares at her and storms off angrily.
"Did he see you?" Dawn asks when she stands up.
"What have you done?!" Nikki shrieks when she's unfrozen, "he thought I was the one who did it! My life is over!"
"Calm down Nikki, this school is really big, you'll probably never meet him again."
"Yes, I will, he's MG."
"Oh no! Nikki, I'm so sorry, I-"
"Are you guys okay?" Rachel asks as she walks into the class.
