"Maybe its a good thing," Nikki says.
"How is this a good thing?" Dawn asks.
"I was thinking of auditioning for the school play anyways, now I won't get distracted." Nikki shrugs.
"Why are you auditioning?" Rachel asks.
"So I can be in the play, duh."
"But why?" Dawn asks, narrowing her eyes, "is it because of your sister?"
"No! Why do you always bring my sister into everything?"
"'Cause I know you want to be like her."
"I do not and this is not about her. I'm only auditioning because MG is assisting Principal Butt to direct the play."
"Who's MG?" Rachel asks.
"If I'm in the play, I get to spend more time with him," Nikki continues, ignoring Rachel, "and I'm a great actress."
"What play is it?" Dawn asks.
"'The city of love' the musicaaaallllllllllll." Nikki sings the last part.
"Never heard of it," Rachel says.
"That's because it was written by Principal Butt." Nikki explains.
"So how lame is it?" Dawn asks.
"Its surprisingly not bad. It's about a doctor, Bella who falls in love with her patient, Trevor but she doesn't want to love him because he has cancer and she knows he's going to die soon."
"Thanks a lot for spoiling it," Dawn says.
"You're the one who asked me how lame it is"
"Exactly, I didn't ask you how great it is."
"So why is it called the city of love? Do they live in Paris?" Rachel asks.
"No, but they met I'm the hospital so maybe the hospital is their city of love." Nikki says.
"That's deep," Dawn agrees.
They walk to the gym where the audition is being held.
"What are you girls doing here?" Principal Butkis asks, standing in front of the door so that they can't enter.
"I want to audition for the play," Nikki says.
"And we," Dawn points to herself and Rachel, "are here to watch her choke."
"Wow, you're such a good friend," Nikki says sarcastically.
"I try." Dawn says.
"Well, I'm not going to choke," Nikki says with a determined look.
"Yeah, you won't because you're not auditioning," Principal Butkis says.
"Why?"
"I know you have something planned, I'm not going to let you ruin my play. Its the closest thing to a movie I'm going to get."
"I'm not going to ruin your play, I'm here because I love acting. Besides, you said that we would be expelled if we pull another prank."
"Sorry but I'm not taking any chances."
"If I can't be in this play, there will be no play!"
"Okay, okay, you can audition, just stop yelling!"
Nikki smiles and walks to the center of the gym.
"Choke! Choke! Choke!" Dawn chants but Nikki ignores her.
So she sang a song.....yeah. Anyways, it was really nice and everyone applauds when she's done.
"That was amazing," Principal Butkis says, clapping, "next!" She yells.
"Am I in?" Nikki asks her.
"No"
"What? Why not?"
"I said you could audition and you did so get out."
"I need to be in this play, I'll take anything, a nurse, a sick patient who doesn't have any line, I can even be a tree. Anything works for me."
"Okay, how about no?"
"Fine! I just want to say one thing." Nikki turns to the cast, "I hope you all break a leg." She gives a sweet smile.
"Actually, that means good-"
"I know that, but I mean it." She gives the cast a sinister smile and a few seconds later, a group of girls leave, a few students follow.
"Where're you guys going?" Principal Butkis asks.
"They don't wanna audition anymore, they love their legs," Nikki answers, "have fun making a play with no cast." and skips away.

"Why are you even going for the rehearsal? You're not in the play" Dawn asks.
"Yet, but I will be in it soon," Nikki replies, "I wanna see the exasperated look on Principal Butt's face when no one shows up."
She walks into the gym and a few minutes later, comes out with a triumphant look on her face.
"Whats with the stupid smirk on your face?" Dawn asks.
"She probably got a role in the play." Rachel says.
"Yes, I did. I don't know what it is yet but I'm hoping I'll be Bella. If I am, I get to punch a doctor and I'm hoping it's Laura."
"If it is, punch her hard," Dawn says.
"Don't have to tell me twice." Nikki replies.
