Luckily, the laugh fest didn't affect the rest of the play and everyone actually enjoyed it. Plus, Nikki was able to convince Principal Butkis to make Mackenzie the doctor so when the punching scene came up, Rachel yelled, "sick 'em girl! Woo!"
At first, everyone looked at her but then they joined her to hype Nikki. Nikki tackled Mackenzie to the ground and put all her anger into one giant punch. That was everyone's favorite part.
After the play, Rachel was talking about how awesome the punch was. "I heard her nose broke."
"That's great news!" Nikki says, "her nose wasn't all that anyways."
"Hey Dawn." Owen walks up to them, "Rachel."
Rachel gives a little wave. "I've been looking for you," Nikki says, "the play was awesome right?"
Owen looks at her then walks away, leaving Nikki, Dawn and Rachel's mouths hanging open. Owen is the nicest person in the world, he would never intentionally snub someone.
"What was that?" Nikki asks when she recovers from that shocking experience.
"Maybe he didn't hear you," Rachel says. .
"He heard me, he looked at me, he ignored me. ME!" Nikki fumed.
"Now you know how I felt," Dawn says.
"No no no, there's no way I'm going to end up sad and miserable like you, I'm going to find out what the hell just happened." Nikki walks in the direction Owen went.
"Am I sad and miserable?" Dawn asks Rachel.
"Uh......no?"
"That sounds like a question." Dawn narrows her eyes at Rachel. Rachel becomes uncomfortable and runs away.

Nikki spots Owen going into the boys' locker room but she doesn't care, she's a girl on a mission. You go girl!
Inside the locker room, Owen and a nerdy looking boy are there.
"Out. Now." Nikki commands the boy who obeys without questioning her.
"What are you doing here? You could get in trouble for coming in here." Owen says.
"Why're you ignoring me? Did I do something wrong?"
"I gotta go." Owen tries to open the door but Nikki stands in his way and locks the door.
"No one is coming in or going out until you tell me what's going on." She looks very serious.
There's silence for a few minutes but Owen broke it. "Was the kiss that bad?" He asks.
"Of course not, Dawn is going to kill me for saying this but the kiss was awesome."
"Then why did you laugh? Wasn't it because I'm a bad kisser?"
"No way. I got nervous and started imagining everyone naked, it was really funny."
Then there's silence again and Nikki glares at Owen.
"Are you imagining me naked?!"
"In my defense, you look really hot in my imagination."
"Duh, I always look hot."
"You are." Owen leans in to kiss Nikki. Again. The kiss doesn't last long because someone starts banging on the door.
"Nikki, are you in there?" Dawn asks from the other side of the door.
"Why would she be in the boy's locker room?" Rachel asks.
"Have you met Nikki?"
"I better go," Nikki says, unlocks the door and leaves.
"What were you doing in there?" Rachel asks.
"Talking to Owen. He was mad at me cause he thought I was laughing at him when we kissed."
"Why were you laughing anyways?"
"I got nervous and imagined everyone naked."
"That is funny," Dawn says, chuckling.

"You're doing it again," Dawn says to Nikki.
"Doing what?" Nikki turns to Dawn.
"Staring at MG. I think he's looking this way."
Nikki immediately puts her head inside her locker.
"What are you doing?" Rachel asks.
"I don't want him to see me."
"Well, he's probably gonna notice you now 'cause you're acting weird," Dawn says.
"Who's this guy you guys keep talking about anyways?" Rachel asks but they ignore her, again.
Nikki removes her head from the locker and closes it to see MG literally standing beside her, talking to her locker neighbor, Mike. Her heart starts beating faster.
"He's standing right here," Nikki whisper-yells to Dawn.
"Oh, that's the guy you like? He's my brother," Rachel says and once again, they ignore her.
"I know. What should we do?" Dawn whisper-yells back to Nikki.
"I can just introduce you to him. He's my brother after all."
"First, I think we need to figure out his name," Nikki says.
"His name is Quincy, I know that because he's my brother."
"Let's go through his backpack when he's not with it."
"Why are you guys snubbing me?"
"Yeah, and we also have to think of a way I can talk to him."
"What if you pretend to trip then he'll catch you?"
"And if he doesn't?"
"Then you'll fall." Dawn shrugs.
"Or, instead of falling flat on my face and embarrassing myself, we could meet like in romantic movies when the boy and girl bump into each other and her books fall, then they both start picking them up and then they reach out to pick up the last book at the same time and their hands touch, then they look at each other and smile-"
"Hey Quincy," Rachel says as she shoves Nikki a little to get closer to her brother.
"Rachel, how's it going?"
"Great. These are my friends by the way, Nikki and Dawn."
Dawn waves a little while Nikki just stares at Quincy's handsome face. Quincy doesn't recognize Nikki as the girl who had dumped water on him or the girl who had the lead role in the school play or the girl who has been watching him sleep.........just forget that last part. They all stare at Nikki, waiting for her to do something but she just stares.
"Anyways," Rachel says, "just wanted to say hi. Lets go guys." She starts walking away and Dawn follows but Nikki just stare. Dawn grabs Nikki and pulls her away.

Honestly, I can't imagine being unable to talk and walk just because of a guy. Also, does anyone know how love feels like? I don't think my 💜 is capable of having that feeling 😭
