"Start talking." Nikki demands when she gets her ability to speak back, "how do you know him?"
"He's my brother," Rachel rolls her eyes.
"How could you?" Nikki asks like Rachel betrayed her or something.
"What did I do?"
"How could you not tell me?" Nikki asks angrily.
"I told you a few minutes ago, i said it like a thousand times." Rachel says, exasperated.
"Oh, that's what that annoying high pitched sound was," Dawn says, "and you should've made a better attempt to tell us. This is totally your fault."
"No, its mine," Nikki says, looking sad, "its my fault for not knowing more about you and asking you personal and uncomfortable questions. If only there was a way for me make it up to you."
Dawn glares at Nikki, she knows she's just acting.
"I know!" Nikki suddenly brightens up, "let's have a sleepover at your house. Its a great way to get to know you better."
"I guess its okay, I'll have to ask my mum first but I'm sure she'll be okay with it."
"Great, maybe this Friday?"
"Yeah."

"Seriously?" Dawn asks Nikki when they're alone.
"What?" Nikki asks innocently.
"I know you only want that sleepover because of Quincy."
"That's so not true, I'm doing this for Rachel. I just feel like I don't know her well enough, a sleepover is the only thing I could think of-"
"I'm sorry, do I look like someone you just met? You may have mad acting skills but you can't fool me, I'm your best friend, it won't work on me."
"Okay, I'm doing it for Quincy but I think the universe wants us to be together, it made everything easier, thank you universe."
"You're an idiot."
"That's what they call me."

"You guys are still friends?" Mackenzie asks Nikki and Dawn the next day after last period at Nikki's locker.
"Why wouldn't we be?" Dawn asks.
"Nothing." Mackenzie smirks and literally skips away.
"My theory has been confirmed," Nikki says, "that girl has lost it."
"She never had it," Rachel says.
"So true. Anyways," Nikki starts, "how'd it go with your mom?"
"She's fine with it, we can have the sleepover tomorrow night."
"Perfect! I love your mum so much."
"Uh...thanks?" Rachel says and walks away.
"What do you plan on doing when we get to Rachel's house?" Dawn asks but doesn't getting a reply from Nikki because she's too busy staring at MG. He's like, literally standing next to her, again, talking to two of his friends, Mike, her locker neighbor and Shawn.
