Sam's POV (3 days later)
I haven't seen or heard from Emma in three days and frankly I'm getting very worried. I really hope she didn't do anything to Liam. Sure the guy is a douchebag, but she shouldn't throw her life away because of him.

I would ask Lily or Ben where she is but they have been MIA as well. What the hell is going on?

Once I spotted Parker I ran up to him almost immediately. "Hey Parker, have you heard from Lily?"

"You didn't hear?" He looked so upset, my heart dropped. Please no. "What happened?"

"Ben and Lily got in a car accident, Lily is in critical condition, and Ben is in the ICU. Emma's been at the hospital ever since, I'm surprised you didn't hear about it." My heart ached for their parents. First they lost their youngest daughter to a drunk driver, and now they might lose their eldest kids the same way. I need to get there.

"Can you take me there? My car broke down the other night driving Emma home." He nods and we run to his car. "Charlotte, Stacey, Mike and Gray are over there as well, I only came so that I could tell our teachers what is going on."

The rest of the ride was silent, I could tell he was even more nervous than I was. After all, we've known these kids our whole lives, and not only is Ben his best friend, Lily is his girlfriend so it's even worse.

Once we found a parking spot at the hospital, we immediately ran into the hospital to find Emma and the others crying. "Did you guys hear anything?" I ask, Charlotte only cried harder. "Ben is in a coma." Emma replied emotionless. Parker looked and her with hope in his eyes "and Lily?"

"There's a chance she won't make it. Her mom is speaking with the doctor now. They wouldn't allow her to work on Lily or Ben because it's a conflict of interest. I'm praying to god that she is okay." Stacey said sympathetically. I went to sit next to Emma but she got up and ran away.

Emma's POV
This is all my fault. After running away from Sam once his car broke down I ran into them and we were talking and that's how they got hit.

I found myself running to the hospital's chapel. "Please God. If you're really up there, let them live. It's my fault dad died, I can't have Lily's death on my shoulders too. Please. I've never asked anything from you, do this favor for me. She's my best friend."

I started to cry hysterically into my hands. I felt a hand on my shoulder, it was Sam. I didn't want to fight him but I didn't want to face him either. "Go away Sam."

"No. You need comfort, especially after everything that has been going on. Talk to me Em." He grabbed my hand but I pulled away and shook my head. "This is all my fault Sam. They saw me on the road that night after I got out of your car and they stopped to give me a ride, but as I was about to get in they got hit by another car head on. If Lily dies, everyone is going to hate me, and it's all my fault."

"It's going to be okay. Lily is a fighter, and if there's one thing I've learned about her it's that she never gives up. We're going to get through this." We turned around the minute we heard the chapel door swing open, it was Parker. "Lily's mom just came out of talking with the doctors. They said that Lily has to go under one more surgery but on the bright side, things are looking good so far. She is unconscious but the doctors said that there is a chance she could wake up within the next week."

"That's great! Did the police find the guy that hit them?" He shakes his head. "No but since you were the one to call 911 they want you to make a statement." I nodded and ran with him to the police.

"Miss Bennet?" The police officer asks, I nod. "I'm going to need to ask you a couple of questions. Come with me please." I followed them into a quiet room where they asked me questions about the accident.
