Second Encounter

The next day at work was really boring. Nothing exciting ever happens but it makes sense considering it's a coffee shop. It also wasnt very busy that day so I just sat on my phone.
"You probably shouldn't be using your phone at work."

I looked up and saw it was Barry.

"I hate working here it's so boring." I whispered to Barry. He chuckled and asked what time my shift was over.
I looked at the time and groaned "1 more hour."

"Well do you want to go out somewhere with me in an hour?" He asked "we can grab something to eat if you want?"

"Or I could sneak out of here and we can go now." I said laughing.
"I dont want you to get in trouble." Barry said also laughing.
"I'll be fine. Come on let's go before someone sees me." I always do things like this.
"Omg I cant believe you just left like that." Barry said once we got into my car. "I know I could never do that. I would get fired immediately."
"Where do you work." I asked as I started the car.

"I work at CCPD as a forensic scientist." He answered.
"That's so cool." I really enjoyed getting to know Barry. He was so adorable and sweet and innocent. The complete opposite of me. The whole time we were together, he talked about the particle accelerator. I hate anything that has to do with science or math but when Barry talked about it, I was interested. He asked if I wanted to go with him to S.T.A.R. labs.
"My brother actually works there so I was gonna go anyways. Let's go together though." I said.
After S.T.A.R labs Barry and I went back to his lab. I let him work as I sat at his desk eating. I always eat. I love food so much.

A women came in talking to Barry. Her name was Iris.

"What's so important about this particle accelerator anyway?" She asked.

"Harrison wells' work in quantum theory is light years ahead of anything they're doing at CERN." Barry's eyes lit up as he continued explaining it to Iris.

"You've got to get yourself a girlfriend. Maybe you and Lily can go out." She said

"Hey leave him alone hes working." A said as he walked in.

"Hey you must be Joe. I'm Lily." I introduced myself.

Barry finished working and Iris convinced Joe to let him go to star labs.

The three of us left and went to star labs to listen to Harrison's speech. Someone ran behind us and stole Iris' bag. Barry ran after it but the man got away. A police officer stopped him and got the bag back. His name was Eddie Thawne.

I went back with Barry to his lab. The rain was coming in through his ceiling.

We then heard an announcement about the particle accelerator on the news and the signal went out. We then saw an explosion outside the window. All the liquids in Barry's lab started to float up. It was like nothing I had ever seen before. A bright streak of lightning hit Barry and a force pushed me into the wall. I blacked out after that.

I woke up in a familiar place. S.T.A.R. labs.

"Cisco! Lily woke up." I saw Caitlin and Cisco hovering above me.
"Lily thank God you're okay." I sat up only to fall back down. I had a massive headache and every body part ached.

"Lily I'd like to run some tests to make sure everything is fine. If that's ok with you."Caitlin asked kindly.

"Yeah but how long was I out for? Wait where is Barry?" I asked.

"You were out for about an hour and Barry is.. well he is in a coma and we don't really know when he'll wake up ."

Caitlin ran a few tests on me to make sure nothing was damaged.

For the rest of the time that Barry was in a coma I stayed at S.TA.R. labs. I even quit my job when Cisco asked if I wanted to work with them. I said yes but only so I would have an excuse to see Barry.
