"If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it, does it make a sound? If I love you and you're not here to feel it, does it matter?" ~Kristina Mahr

Lyla's Point Of View

"I ran into the glass separating us at the pet store. I only did it to see you smile, knowing that I was the reason you looked so beautiful. I saved you in the alley from a group of me. You didn't know I was a human, but only as your beloved cat. I called Dylan." Taehyung swallowed and sniffed as he pulled something out of his pocket. I t was an old and damaged stuffed fish. "You gave me a small toy fish when you brought me home the first day." Taehyung grabbed my hand and pointed to one of my rings, the golden leaf one. "I bought you this ring to make you smile while you were in the hospital." Tears slipped off Taehyung's cheeks. "Lyla, I'm your fluffy cat. Please remember me, you have to." Taehyug begged, holding my hand tightly.

"I, I'm sorry." I took my hand back, shaking my head, frowning and stared at the ground. "I can't remember anything about you."

Taehyung stared at me.

I began to get concerned at the amount of time that has passed before Taehyung closed his eyes.

"Please remember." He whispered.

Then, he turned into a gray and fluffy cat.

I

I......

Jimin's Point of View

I nodded at Suga as he wiped the blood off of his claws.

He clenched his jaw and looked away.

"Come on, we need to find Lyla and Taehyung." Jin walked beside Suga and whispered some words to him.

We need to get to Lyla and all costs. Taehyung might even be dead at this point. They took him away for those tests too many times. He could barely stay awake the last time I saw him.

"Come on Jungkook." I held out my hand for the bunny. "I'll walk with you."

Jungkook released Namjoon's hand and ran towards me, grasping my hand now.

I walked passed the others, bringing me and Jungkook to the front, us leading the others.

"Everything is going to be alright, you know that right?" I smiled up at the bunny, silently hating our height difference. The others walked silently trusting our path and following faithfully.

I wasn't paying attention to our surrounding or my senses and turned into a new hallway without looking first.

"Hey!" A man shouted.

I looked away from Jungkook and my eyes locked with the gun the man was holding. He aimed it straight at me.

The shot fired and a tear traced down my cheek.

Lyla's Point Of View

"I remember!" I sobbed, hugging Taehyung to me. The memories hit me all at once, overwhelming me with different emotions. "Taehyung I remember!"

Taehyung turned back into a human and he was still in my arms.

He was crying as well, his shoulders shaking.

"Oh thank the Lord." Dylan mumbled, sighing.

Taehyung released out hug and sat back on his legs, wiping his eyes.

"What happened in the room?" Taehyung asked.

"They didn't inject anything in me. The only thing they did was electrocute me and, and." I frowned., trying to remember. "Wait, they did inject something and didn't electrocute me."

That's wrong

"No no. They took a whole bunch of my blood. That's what they did." I nodded, but lost my confidence when I looked at Taehyung and Dylan's facial features.

"Lyla, I saw you get electrocuted." Taehyung looked at me sadly.

"I dont remember." I shook my head and looked at the floor.

"Hey, its okay." Dylan crouched down beside me. "We'll help you remember."

"Let's just get out of here, then we'll work on my memory. I wanna go home." I sighed, and was about to get up before I saw Taehyung's face

"You don't remember the others?"

Jimin's Point Of View

Before the bullet was even shot, Jungkook had his arms wrapped around me, hugging me, his back to the man with the gun.

He was the one shot.

I panted, my eyes wide, my eyebrows wavering.

"Jimin." Jungkook whimpered. His legs gave out and we both fell to the floor.

The boys screamed behind me as I shakingly moved Jungkook's bangs out of his eyes.

Jin dropped to the floor beside me and pressed on the wound in his stomach.

"Just breathe Jungkook. It's going to be okay." Jin'os voice shook as he tried to ignore the blood piling up on his hands.

Jungkook cried as his chest heaved up and down, forcing in air.

I stood up, a monster of anger lifting me up as well.

Turning towards the man, I felt my teeth sharpen and my nails actually grew as well, something that has never happened before.

"How," I took a step forward. "Dare," I clenched my fist. "You!"

I charged forward, growling, my throat itching to scream out.

The man shot my shoulder but I barely flinched.

Jumping ontop of the man, I ripped him apart, literally.

"Jungkook, keep breathing. You're strong, keep breathing." Hoseok's voice cracked, emotions flooding from each syllable.

I turned towards them.

"We need to get him to a hospital." Namjoon wiped sweat from his forehead.

I grimaced and held my shoulder. I clenched my fist, hiding the blood from the others.

They don't need to worry about me.

They need to worry about the problem I caused.

Jungkook

If I was paying attention. If I let Namjoon walk beside Jungkook. If I would've walked by myself.

If I was the one who got shot.

Jungkook's stomach is where my chest is.

If I would die, they wouldn't have to worry about the problems I cause.

I kneeled beside Jungkook.

"I-I'm sorry." Jungkook sobbed, looking at me. "I didn't want you to get hurt."

"It's okay, it's okay." I stroked his hair, forcing a smile for him. "Just breathe. You don't have to be sorry for anything. We've got you."

Then the sirens blasted into the deadly silence.
