After Christmas. Before Lyla's Boss Goes to Jail
Lyla's boss burns Lyla's hand on boiling oil.
He did it on purpose (obviously)
When Lyla gets home, she has her hand wrapped with a towel for she had no other supplies at the restaurant.
Namjoon notices her burn while she is reading to him.
"Lyla. What happened to your hand?" Joon asks while she is reading.
She stops suddenly, trying to think of something to make up.
"Um."
"Lyla. Let me see." Namjoon sat up from laying down in her lap, holding out his hand for her own.
Namjoon unwraps her hand and takes a deep breath, not prepared for the sight of the burn.
"What happened?" Joon asks sacredly.
"Who did it." Suga asked after hearing Namjoon's concern, walking over.
"I did it. It was an accident." Lyla lied. It was the best she could think of.
Jin takes Lyla to the store with him to get medicine for it.
"You know you can tell em anything, right?" Jin tries to get Lyla to tel him the truth of the injury, knowing she was lying.
"I know Jin, I trust you." Lyla took Jin's hand in her own as they walked to the apartment.
Jin got a little frustrated that he lost, but he smiled for her, trusting she would reveal the truth when she was ready.

Later
~
At night while Tae lays next to Lyla.
"I'm really worried about you Ly. You keep getting hurt." Tae whispered, watching her sleep quietly.
He gently took her hand into his own and rubbed his thumb back and forth on her palm.
Tae sighed and pulls Lyla close to him and falls asleep with his purrs replacing the broken fan.
