Asuna POV:

Lis, Silica, Suguha and I were sitting at the lunch table waiting for Kirito, Eugeo, and Alice to come. All I could think about was Kirito's face when he arrived in the second period after his confrontation with Eiji. He had a very depressed face as if he heard something terrible.

"Hey Asuna, you ok?" Lis asked me with a concerned face

I quickly shook my head to get out of my thoughts and looked back at Lis with a smile

"Yea I fine, why do you ask"

"I don't know, you just seem like you were thinking really hard about something"

"Well, I was just thinking about what Kirito and Eiji must have talked about"

"That is a good point. Eiji seemed fine to me during our last class as if nothing had happened to him or as if he got something off of his back"

"I wonder what Kirito said to him, he seemed kinda depressed though" Silica chimed in

"You should ask him Asuna, he listens to you. He kinda stopped interacting with us after he figured out we weren't siblings, well that's what my mom told me. But he has been slowly opening up again, but your still the one closest to him" Suguha then also entered the conversation

"Yea sure, I'll ask him"

Just when I finished saying that Kirito, Eugeo, and Alice entered the food court. Lis waved over to them to get their attention and signal where we were sitting. They then proceeded to walk towards us.

"Hey," Kirito said once arriving at the tables

"How has your first day of school been going so far," Lis asked

"It's been going ok. I've gotten too much work to catch up on, but I can manage easily. Not sure about these two, but they should be fine. Right?" He replied and then looked at Eugeo and Alice sit down at the table.

"Well, Japanese literature has been quite rough, but math was really easy for me," Eugeo said with the smile he always had on

"Vice versa for me," Alice said afterward

"Why's that?" Silica questioned

"Well, when Eugeo and I study in Europe it was more of a College type manner was we would mainly focus on the subjects that we wished to excel in. Eugeo here wants to be a businessman so he got better in the math department of things, while I wish to be a philosopher, hence me doing better in Japanese literature"

"Ok, that makes sense and also why you guys are being put into the same grade as us," Lis asked

"Exactly correct" Alice replied

The five of them continued their conversation and I looked over at Kirito who was sitting beside me. He had the same depressed expression on his face but was also deep in thought

"Kirito"

No response

"Kirito"

No response

"Kirito," I said this time while shaking his shoulder

"Hmmm...oh sorry Asuna was just thinking about a couple of things," He said while lightly smiling at me and rubbing the back of his head.
