One Month Later

Kirito POV:

"...what am I doing"

It was a phrase I constantly thought to myself. I was following the same exact schedule every day ever since I had gotten out of the Hospital.

I would start the day off by going downstairs and eating breakfast, followed by going to my room and looking over my class notes and homework which was sent to me from the SAO survivor school in Japan due to me being overseas and not attending. After that, I would go to the hospital for my physical rehab appointments and then hit the gym for some personal stress relief.

"I can be doing better things than this"

Yet another phrase I would say a lot, but I knew that I couldn't. I was told by Kikuoka Seijirou to stay put and let the SAO incident blow over the media first because of how the defeater of SAO had still not yet surfaced and was still a major topic. I knew he was correct and I decided to follow through with his plan and put on hold my running away from home plan.

"How much longer must I wait...Asuna is gonna strangle me about how long it took me to find her"

I had found Asuna online and had learned a little bit about her and her family. I only originally attended to find out where Asuna was so that I could see her as soon as I got to Japan, but something had caught my eye.

Her father is the current CEO of RECT Progress, Japan's leading technological advancement company. They originally were just a small time VR gaming company until the company that took over the maintenance of SAO once Argus went bankrupt due to the... well, you should know. Since RECT took over the SAO maintenance, they have been able to grow majorly as a company and were even paid nicely by the Ministry of Internal Affairs due to their help with the Incident.

"Who would have thought that one of the best front liners of SAO is actually a rich girl" I chuckled to myself

I learned a good amount about Asuna while also trying not to pry too much. But ever since I learned about her and had known where she was, my heart had started to ache more as I was unable to go see her.

I continued to lay on my bad and complain about my problems in my head until someone knocked on my door.

"You can come in"

A sliver of the door opened and revealed my aunt as she popped her head into the room "Kazuto, you have some special guests. Is it alright if I send them up to your room."

"Sure I guess..." I said and had an expression of confusion and worry.

'Who are these guests' I thought to myself

I could hear a couple of footsteps come up the stairs and walk down the hall. Once the footsteps stopped, a knock was sounded on my door. I told them they could come in and was utterly shocked to see who it was

"E-Eugeo! Alice!"

"Hey Kazuto, long time no see bud," Eugeo said with a grin on his face.

"It's nice to see you as well Kazuto" Alice spoke while giving a slight bow
