*logan's point of view*

Today was the day. The day I tell brother that I have a crush on Steve. I've liked Steve for a while but I haven't told a single soul.

My brother and I are super close. We tell each other everything except for this. I feel bad for not telling him but everyone had their secrets.

I step inside the house and notice my brother with a girl, practically eating each other's faces off.

"My eyes! They burn!" I yell dramatically.

"Logan!" Dallas exclaims.

I giggle and plop on his lap. His girlfriend, of three years, was sitting next to him. I put my legs on her lap.

"Can I talk to you alone for a few minutes?" I ask Dallas a little nervously.

He nods and carries me to my bedroom. He sits on my bed and puts me next to him.

"What's on your mind, squirt?"

"Boys."

"Who do I have to kill this time." I roll my eyes.

"Nobody. But I like this guy." My voice is shaking. I rub my sweaty palms on my dark washed jeans.

"Who?" He says in a high pitched voice, like a girl getting the juiciest gossip.

"Steve Randle."

He gave me this look. That told me he thought I was insane.

"Steve?" He repeats unsure.

"Yeah. Steve."

"Why Steve? Of all people." I frown.

Does he not aprove? Does he not want me to be with Steve?

"I don't know." I say sadly.

"Well at least you don't like two-bit." I roll my eyes as he kisses my cheek.

"You aren't mad?"

"Of course not." He gives me this look like he's offended or something. "I'd never get mad at you for liking somebody."

"Thank you." He smiles.

"Wanna know a secret?" I look at him with a bright smile. "He likes you, too."

"How do you know?" I ask extremely confused.

"He asked me if it would be alright for him to date you. He's going to ask you to be his girlfriend the next time he sees you." I smile widely.

"Really?" He nods right before there is a knock on the bedroom door.

"Logan, somebody is here for you." Dallas looks at me with a happy smile.

I exit the bedroom and go to the living room where Steve is waiting for me.

"Hey." I say while walking towards him.

"Hey. Let's go for a walk." He says confidently. I nod and walk with him to the front door.

"I'll be back later!" I yell to Dallas.

"Be safe and don't get pregnant." My eyes widen at Dallas' words.

What the fudge! That's embarrassing. My cheeks and ears are on fire.

"I'm sorry about him." I apologize when we are out the door.

"I'm used to it."

We walk and talk about everything that interests us. We talk about anything and everything. Even the grass.

Steve stops walking at the park under my favorite tree and faces me.

"Logan." He says his voice quivering.

"Yeah?" I ask nervously.

"I've liked you for a really, really long time." His gaze meets mine and he suddenly becomes extremely confident. "I've liked you since I first saw you in the park with Dallas two years ago. I wanted to make you my girlfriend." He brushes his hand softly against my cheek.

While his hand is lingering he pushes a stray strand of my hair away from my face that was blowing in the wind.

"Logan (idk your middle name) Winston will you be my girlfriend?" I smile and nod.

"Yes, Steve. I'll be your girlfriend." His smile widens and he presses his lips softly against mine.
