although george, paul, john, and ringo only left fritz when they completely closed, george wanted to leave as soon as possible. kylie had him wrapped around her finger already.
"hey guys, i'm not feeling too well." george spoke up to the three boys around him.
"and, you want us to do what?" john asked him.
"maybe take me home?" george got a little snippy, just to add to the 'effect.'
john was silent for a moment.
"you know paul drove us here, so i would ask him." john gestured towards paul.
"did i hear my name?" paul walked over to where george and john were standing.
"sorry to be a party pooper but, could you run me home? i'm not feeling too bright." george told him.
paul sighed. "yea i suppose, come on." he grabbed his keys out of his pocket and walked to the front doors, george following behind.
"bye george! i'll call you when we have practice." john shouted to him.
"alright, see ya!"
ringo waved goodbye and the two left the small building.
as soon as they left, paul knew what was up.
"you're lying, aren't you?" paul turned to george.
"what?" he got confused.
"you're not actually sick, are you?"
george went silent for a small moment.
"okay, no im not." he confessed.
"yea, i figured." paul chuckled as they both got into the car. they began to drive to georges house. there was small talk between them, as it didn't take very long to get to georges house from fritz.
after about ten or fifteen minutes, they eventually made it.
"thanks for the ride." george smiled at paul as he got out of his car, and walked up to his porch.
"have fun talking to kylie!" paul shouted loud enough for george to hear.
george turned around with wide eyes. paul had already drove off.
george sighed, ready to be in his home. he walked in and locked the door behind him.
he immediately went upstairs to his room.
paul knowing what he was up to, still confused him but he didn't think too much about it. maybe he was just psychic.
george kept the note in the pocket of his leather jacket, and he planned to keep it there so he wouldn't lose it.
but for now, he took it out and tried to build up the courage to call kylie.
"come on, don't be such a donkey." he quietly told himself. he couldn't understand why he was so nervous to do it now, rather than any other time.
he came up with so many excuses like, maybe she wasn't home or, he didn't want to seem desperate or, what if this was just another girl that wanted in his pants?
he realized that he couldn't really get out of it, and something told him to call her. so he just went for it.
he opened the letter, took the money out and set it on the edge of his nightstand. he then put in the numbers on the circular dial on his telephone. the anticipation was killing him already, as the phone was ringing.
the other end picked up.
"hello?" kylie's voice rang through.
"hi!" george replied.
"um, who's this?" she asked, confused.
"oh god sorry," he laughed "it's george."
"ah okay, that makes sense now." she chuckled. "so i'm assuming you finally got home?"
"yea, i sort of left early." he said.
"why's that?"
there was a small silence.
"i wanted to talk to you." he admitted to her. george obviously couldn't see it but, kylie had a small blush spread across her cheeks.
"aw, well that's sweet." she giggled.
"nothing much was going on at fritz anyways, you just happened to make my night more interesting." he grinned.
"that's a good thing i suppose." she didn't think she's ever met anyone so flirtatious in her life. but she didn't want to seem rude or weird because some people are naturally like that. so she sort of pushed the thought aside.
"so, what're you up to on this fine evening?" he asked her.
"not a whole lot, me and my sister have a friend over though so that's fun." she told him.
"ah, that does sound like fun. what're their names?"
"my sisters name is alley, and my friends name is kyla." she seemed interested as to why he wanted to know. "why?"
"you guys are obviously close, at least i think. and i'm assuming you all came from america, right?" he hoped his assumption wasn't wrong, he didn't wanna mess anything up.
"correct, we did. and yes, we all are very close to each other."
george internally patted himself on the back.
"speaking of which, they are calling for me now actually." kylie laughed.
"aw shucks, that's okay." george chuckled.
"i hope so. also! i meant to ask you, would you mind giving me your number? i just want it for when i wanna call you again but, only if that's alri-" she got cut off.
"yes of course it's okay, do you have a piece of paper?"
"wait, really? okay, yea i do hold on." kylie rushed around to the little desk in her room and grabbed a pen. "i'm ready."
"alright, it's ***-***-****." he carefully spoke so that she could understand him.
"thanks."
george could hear the smile in her voice.
"anytime, dear." he also smiled. "feel free to call me anytime too, don't be shy." he laughed.
"that's actually a relief, thank you for making that clear for me." she sighed and chuckled.
"so, i'll talk to you later then?" he hoped she would say yes.
"sure." kylie twisted the phone cord in her fingers.
"awesome. goodbye kylie."
"goodbye george. or should i say, george harrison." she mocked his voice, the first time he told her his name.
"oh my god." he chuckled and then hung the phone up.
george just sat on his bed with a huge smile spread across his face. he layed back, looking up at his ceiling. "thank you lord." he kissed his hands and held them up in the air. he then got back up and decided to get comfortable.
-
before kylie went out into the living room, she stopped for a moment.
"did that really just happen?" she asked aloud to herself.
she was internally screaming on the inside, but was trying to compose herself before going out to talk with kyla and alley.
what a night.
