"being freeeee." kylie sung out the last words to the song, as a smile spread across her face.
"gosh, i don't think ill ever get over that song." she said, holding a hand over her heart."i dont blame you, its quite nice." george spoke up.
"joni mitchell is honestly a genius, her words are so meaningful and i love it." kylie went on to say.
george just looked at her in awe as he realized how much she was really into music.there was a small silence between them.
"what time are we planning on going?" kylie spoke up.
george hesitated for a moment.
"im not entirely sure but if you have to go, im sure paul wouldn't mind taking you guys back." he reassured her."no, its okay. i was just curious."
"just let me know if you want to leave any time soon." he smiled at her.
"besides, paul probably wouldn't mind driving his new whip around anyways." they both laughed.kylie did not regret saying yes to his offer. she was having a great time, and she knew kyla and alley were too. which was the most important part of it all, that they were enjoying themselves as much as her.
speaking of which, kylie hadn't talked to them a whole lot. but then again, they were all caught up in the moment and haven't talked to each other a lot either.
"hey, i think im gonna go talk to the girls for a while. just seeing if they're doing okay and whatnot." kylie explained to george, leaning in so george could hear her better.
"thats okay, ill be around. just come find me." he gave her a look that she couldn't quite comprehend.
thats when they realized they were still holding hands during this whole time.
their interwined fingers came undone. kylie blushed, slightly. she had never seen george smile so big. that made her feel good.
they parted their ways and now all that kylie had to do was find the other two.
she skated around slowly, looking in every corner that they could possibly be in, and through the sea of people ahead of her.after a good five minutes, she spotted alley and paul skating side by side. they seemed to be in a good conversation, as she saw paul laughing and almost falling down at whatever it was alley had said.
kylie took her chance.
"heyyyy guys, watcha up to?" she went right next to alley."hey! we're good! we've mainly just been talking. what about you?" alley shouted over the loud music.
"im good, are you having as much fun as i am?" kylie asked her.
"yes! i couldn't thank george enough, this was really nice of him." alley warmly smiled.
"speaking of him, anything happenin' with you guys?" alley wiggled her eyebrows.
kylie didn't really know how to answer that.
"uh, i mean maybe? i dont know but im still having a good time nonetheless." she told her.
"thats good to hear, but you already know you have to tell me if anything does." alley gave her a stern look.
"i will, i will." kylie laughed.
there was a small pause."so, paul, you doin' okay?" kylie turned to look at him.
"oh! im grand, really. your sister here has some tricks up her sleeve, i haven't laughed this hard in a while." he chuckled.
"aw, well thats good." kylie smiled.
