the next morning/day
-
considering kylie had taken almost a three hour nap the night before, falling back asleep was a bit difficult. meaning she didn't get much sleep at all. she didn't feel too bad when she woke up though.
she sat up in her bed, and looked at the clock hanging on her wall. it read 9:17. she let out a groan as she stretched her limbs.
the thought of last night jumped in her head, instantly boosting her mood. then, another thought popped into her mind. she didn't tell alley or kyla about the plans for the day. kylie hoped they didn't have anything else in mind. even if they did, she was sure kyla would drop any plans just to meet some cute boys.
kylie then walked out into the living room to find kyla dead asleep on the couch. she assumed alley was still sleeping as well.
being as quiet as possible, she opened the front door to check the mail. a magazine, and a few other small ads were found in the mailbox. the magazine caught her eye for once. it had a very outgoing photo of a few girls wearing outrageous clothing that was starting to trend. she didn't find it to be a bad outrageous though, the style looked quite nice to her. the colors were vibrant and the patterns were unique. it was the start of something new.
that made kylie think more. maybe she could pull off a trendy outfit like the one on the magazine today. she thought about the clothing in her closet and figured she could put something together that was similar.
setting the mail on the kitchen counter, she heard alley make her way into the bathroom. finally.
alley eventually walked herself into the living room. her hair was a frizzy mess, and she only had one sock on. let's just say she didn't look fully here. like, on earth.
"hey, you look.. fun this morning." kylie looked at the girl, chuckling.
"thank you so much." alley said sarcastically, walking into the kitchen to make a cup of tea.
"here, let me make that for you." kylie walked up to her and started getting the tea kettle out of the cupboard. alley gave her a weird look.
"why are you in such a good mood?" alley questioned her.
"what? a girl can't be in a good mood every once in a while?" kylie furrowed her eyebrows.
"i'm not saying that, just curious i suppose." she leaned against the counter.
"well, i was talking to george last night an-" kylie was cut off.
"oh," alley smirked, "i already know where this is going."
kylie was now a little bit confused as to what she was thinking.
"i'm not sure we're thinking of the same thing." kylie stopped what she was doing to fully look at the other girl. alley then, got confused as well.
"what are you talking about then?" alley asked. kylie went back to making the tea.
"if you would've let me finish, you would know." kylie laughed.
"okay, go on." the anticipation got to alley.
"i was talking to george last night, and he invited us to go to his nieces' football game with him and his friends today. he also said we could all hang out afterward too." kylie had a massive smile plastered across her face.
"really?! i'm totally down with going! we could use a new group of friends." alley responded.
"alright, it starts at 2 so just be ready by then." kylie told her as she took the kettle off the stove and poured the steaming water into three glass mugs, figuring kyla would want some too. alley got the tea bags out of a small drawer, and set them in the mugs.
