Chapter 24

Jace sighed to himself. Of course she would be upset, she has just been through hell and he keeps pushing on about it. Jace walks out of the room and towards the kitchen. He heard Isabelle's shouts through the hallway. He stayed where he was not wanting to interrupt whatever was going on.

"You've changed, the Clary I knew wouldn't come in here with dry eyes and ask me if I'm okay after she killed the love of my life" Jace listened intently. Leaning further in to listen better.

"I don't like this Clary,  I don't know whats gotten into you" Jace could here footsteps coming round the corner. Isabelle appeared. She stopped in her tracks. She looked at him for a moment before continuing on down the hallway. Jace stared after her for a second before walking into the kitchen. Clary was leaning against the kitchen bench top.

"Hey" she said trying to put on a smile.

"Hey" said Jace he walked further into the room so he was only a metre apart from her.

"What was all that about?" Jace asked. Clary sighed.

"Can we go for a walk or something, I really need to get out of here" she said. Jace nodded and they both walked out.

They were wondering through the park. They were amongst the trees where they couldn't be seen.

"So what's been happening with you and Isabelle." Clary looked at him for a moment and sighed.

"Well she thinks I've changed. I killed her boyfriend and my best friend, and she thinks because of what I've done that I've changed." Jace nodded not knowing what to say. He loved Clary but really didn't want to get messsd up in girl drama.

"She's right Jace. I have changed"Jace looked at her confused.

"I have something I have to tell you." Clary looked behind Jace's shoulder. He turned round and saw a face he didnt want to see.

Lilith

"Good job Clary.  I'll admit you did it alot faster then what Sebastion and I had intended." She said with a smile. Jace went to charge at Lilith but was blocked by some sort of force field.  He growled.

"You think after what you did to me I would just walk back into your life. You hurt me Jace and that's something I will never forget." Jace stared at Clary hurt and confusion crossed his eyes. He didn't say anything. Lilith with a snap of her fingers brought them back to Sebastion's apartment.

"Ah, Clary well done" Sebastion came and stood next to Clary and wrapped an arm around her waist.

"What do we do with him now?" Clary asked Sebastion. "

Well my gorgeous sister that's entirely up to you" he said with a smile. Clary walked up to Jace who was still in complete shock and punched him. The last thing he saw was Clary's smug grin before he blacked out.

First of all ive gotten over 1K reads and I'm thrilled so thank you and thanks for all the votes and comments as well. I do have some bad news.  I'm not going to be able to update for the next 3 weeks. Im going on holiday and won't be back till the term starts up again. So sorry about that.
