Present-day...THE night was mysterious.
Naya's family snuck down the halls to the front entrance. None of them second-guessed why it was so easy for them to sneak around- that is- until they opened the Palace doors to the Main Gate.
Soldier after soldier stood ready to fight as the three of them unearthed their faces. Ozai stood in the center of it all with little Azula in front of him. She had a sinister smile on her face, one that Naya felt the urge to smack off.
"You are an embarrassment to the Fire Nation, Toril. I have eyes everywhere. You shouldn't have been so naive as to speak about escaping in my Palace," The Fire Lord said. "I knew my father was a fool to trust you."
"I shouldn't have to be bound to this Palace forever. I served for your family well and my time here is done," Naya's father spoke proudly.
Naya looked over at her mother, who's expression was stoic and her stance was stiff.
"I am the Fire Lord and nobody but I can tell you when you're done serving me. Stand down or else I won't show any mercy for you or your runt."
Azula snickered at his words.
"I know your intentions. I will not have my daughter be encompassed by evil. You need to do your own bidding, Lord Ozai," Toril said. His tone was venomous as he spoke the name.
"Fine. But when you die, realize you had no honor," Ozai sneered.
With a gesture of his hand, the guards stormed towards the family of three.
Naya felt the adrenaline rush. It flowed through her veins as the guards surged towards her. She shifted into fighting mode and shot flames from her fists as if it was nothing. She fought elegantly, yet ferociously, as each new guard approached.
Her father quickly separated, going straight for the Fire Lord. Toril's eyes were locked on his target as the guards attacked him.
Kanya, however, fought with much less spirit than her counterparts. She didn't have water, to begin with, and her fighting skills were far from advanced.
"I've always hated you," Azula said as she approached Naya, making her focus on her opponent rather than the rest of her surroundings.
"Ditto," Naya sneered. "It's finally time to get back for tormenting me."
"Or, I can finally rid your hybrid self from this world. It'll be best, anywho. Zuko can't be seen mingling with freaks, it'll be bad for his reputation." Azula said.
"Your reputation or his? Because I know well enough that he loves me as much as I love him."
Azula smirked. "Really? Well from what he's told me, he's embarrassed to be around you. I guess some things weren't meant to be."
