I didn't sleep. I couldn't. I could practically feel the energy of the sun draining and I was itching to get out of this corroded prison cell. I had enough of the Fire Nation treating me like I was a piece of garbage, as well as the strange smell that was starting to come from the walls. I was done. Completely done.

"Your food for the day," a meek guard said as he entered my cell.

"Why so early?" I asked, trying to see if he'd break.

"Umm, I'm not sure actually. But it looks like you should ration it."

The guard blinked and stared for a few seconds before waddling out of the room. I glanced down at the meal I was given. Of course, it was rice.

I wasted no time in eating all of the contents, knowing that only in just a few hours I would be on my way to freedom.

THE time had come where the moon blocked out the sun. I could sense the power of night in the absence of day. I sucked in a breath.

It's time.

"Guards! Guards! Please help me!" I shouted as I faced my cell door.

I stood staring as the meek guard from before, as well as another, came barging into my room with wide eyes. They stood in front of me timid and weak. Kind of pathetic that Ozai would even hire people like them.

"What's going on?" The man said with a false sense of confidence.

"Oh nothing, I just needed you guys to escape."

I lifted my arms and listened to the sound of the guards' blood listening to my command. Both of them twitched and stared in shock at the power I unlocked. It gave me satisfaction seeing the horror on their faces. I could only hope Kanya will feel the same way.

I moved the meek man towards my cell. I glanced at his trousers, where the key to freedom sat. I quickly snatched it off of his belt and unlocked the door, all the while staring at the two guards.

"How—how can you do this?" The woman questioned.

I shrugged. "Desperate times call for desperate measures." I walked out of the cell and slammed my captors into the floor of my cell. I quickly locked them inside my old prison with a smile. "If Ozai, or better yet, Kanya come here, tell them I'm out for blood, and they better watch out."

I didn't bother looking at the guards before sprinting out of the room and towards my way out of the prison. I had my eye out for any others that tried to get in my way, but there was no one to be seen. I guess those are the perks of being underestimated. Though, it irked me knowing that Kanya thought she had immense power over me.

I stumbled into the light as I shoved my way out the door. I practically screamed at the pain my eyes felt for seeing some sort of daylight for the first time in weeks. It was kind of pathetic knowing that this wasn't even half as bright as without an eclipse.

I made no effort to keep standing in front of prison so, with shielded eyes, I ran forward looking for any sign of an invasion force. I ached to see my friends, my family again.

I glanced at the Royal Palace below me, feeling a twinge of nervousness form in my stomach. That's where they are, or where the invasion might me. I know Ozai and Kanya are not dumb enough to be there, but maybe my friends were there looking.

SEEING the palace up close made me sick. As I walked down the halls so many distant memories flashed through my mind.
