WARNING: CURSING
F/N - friend's name
L/N- last name
Kind of long
"Ne Y/N-chii, do you believe in signs?" Asked your friend while the two of you are laying on your bed. She's holding up a magazine with weird stars and constellation on the front.
"Well, I mean, I usually follow them. Traffic rules ya know?" You answered and flashed a cheeky smile
"Not that kind of signs, silly! Look this magazine says if all these signs happened that means I've found the one!" She said and squeals, much to your dismay.
"I call bull," you said nonchalantly
"Potty mouth," she teased, "look I'll read yours. Based on your sign it says here that you'll meet him when the sky holds an unholy ceremony between the rain and sun --"
"What the fuck is that suppose to mean?"
"Stop interrupting me, Y/N-chii. It just means you'll meet him on a sunny day at the same time it's raining." She said and puffed and her cheeks, clearly irritated by your lack of interest.
"As I was saying before I was RUDELY interrupted, you will bond under the greatness of shooting stars. Lastly, a delicate creature in the form of a butterfly will perch this man on the day you seal your lips on his. Y/N-chii, yours is much better than mine! I envy you" she said while pouting. You looked at her in disbelief and wondered how she at that age still fall for those stuff.
"F/N, I'm a (Your zodiac sign) and if that magazine's claims were true do you think there's enough butterfly for everyone of us?"
"Y/N-chii, can't you just have faith in love just this once?"
"As Alexander Hamilton once said: No."
She threw a pillow at you and you instinctively caught it.
She's staying at your house for a sleep over because your school is holding a retreat tomorrow for the graduating class. It's not big really, just a simple retreat house away from town.
--
Simple was an understatement. When you got there there was a warm welcome ceremony for your school and few rules were given. The rules are the usual boys and girls on separate rooms, no sneaking out, and others. They gave you time to roam around the place to get familiar and you took advantage of that to enjoy the place.
The retreat house is large enough to accommodate all you seniors. It has the traditional Japanese structure with brown lacquer and shiny wooden floor. You noticed that instead of a translucent paper the shōji (room divider) was made up of shells. "Capiz shells, imported from the Philippines," the caretaker mentioned.
The garden mimicks a small maze. Rows of ornamental flowers line the garden and tall trees give off shade. A stone bridge allows you to cross over to a temple. Below the bridge is solid ground that also has ornamental flowers. It wasn't that tall, just enough so a vehicle can pass through. You went down and take a look.
The bridge has a lot of vandalism, but what got your attention was that they were all poems. Some were cheesy, others were great but all carrying a strong emotion.
"Tch," your heart skipped a beat and you spun around quickly to find out out who made that sound
You were relieved when you found out it was only Midorima. A classmate of yours that you know would be bullied for his weird antics if it weren't for his talent at basketball. He's carrying a piggy bank today, you noticed.
"Hi, Midorima-san. What brings you here," you greeted and continued reading the writings on the wall.
"I'm not lost," he said defensively
