Chapter 11 Pt. 2

Nicole's POV

He nods a scowl still on his face.

"Stop being a grouch Luke." I say playfully hitting his back causing him to smile.

"There's that smile I'm looking for."

"Shut up." He says taking a seat, back facing Stray Kids, Me taking a spot next to him.

Haechan and Mark sit across from us.

"So how have you been my little birdies?" I ask them.

"We've been fine." They say in unison.

"Hey Nicole?"

I look up to see Felix and instantly smile.

"Yes?"

"Can I speak with you for a moment alone?"

"Yeah sure, I'll be back guys."

They all nod, Lucas with the same look of disgust does the same. I follow behind Felix to a somewhat secluded area.

"What's up?"

"I want to tell you something but you can't make fun of me."

"I promise, I won't, what is it?"

He shuffles around nervously and runs his hands through his hair, I begin to look at and think about the small features that made me fall for him.

His freckles, his accent, the way he fiddles with his fingers when he's nervous, his hair, his eyes, his mesmerizing smile....I begin to smile to myself when suddenly...

"Nicole?"

"Yeah?" I shake my head.

"Okay, I'm just going to say it..."

He stops.

"Felix, come on tell me."

He then looks me directly in my eyes.

"I...."

"You what?"

"I like you."

My heart stops and I'm speechless.

"You...l.like me?"

He nods looking slightly worried.

I take a breath.

"I like you too." I say a little confident.

He smiles pulling me into a tight hug, my heart began to race and I hug back.

"I'm so happy you feel the same."

"Me too, I thought it was one sided for a bit." 

He pulled away a grabbed my face looking me in my eyes with his beautiful brown ones.

"Nicole?"

"Hmm?"

"Will you go out with me?"

I smile widely and nod.

"Of course I will Felix."

He plants a small kiss on my lips causing my face to heat up and then we head back to our tables both smiling like idiots.

"What was that about?" Mark asked.

"Oh nothing."

"Nothing? Nicole, your face is red." Haechan says.

"Did he ask you out?" Mark asked.

I nod, then him and Haechan squealed like little girls.

"Ohh, our little girl is growing up." Mark says.

"Oh shut up." I say kicking his leg under the table, he winces playfully glaring at me.

"Can you excuse me for a second?" Lucas says.

"Lucas are you alright?" I asked him concerned.

"Yeah I'm fine could you please move."

"You can talk to me you know that right?"

"Nicole get out of my way!"

"I uh...okay."

I get up so he can move and he walks outside then I sit back down.

"I can help but feel like he's mad at me again." I put my head down on the table.

Mark's POV

Me and Haechan look at her and then each other, he nods and lets me out.

I go outside to see Lucas sitting on the sidewalk looking at the view ahead of him.

"Lucas??"

"What?"

"Is something wrong?"

"No nothing, I'm just so happy my long time crush has a boyfriend."

He says sarcastically.

"So that's what this is about?"

"What else?"

"I thought you told me you moved on."

"I tried, but no matter what my thoughts always seem to find their way back to Nicole."

He sighs.

"Look, Lucas, you have to remember she's also your best friend, why don't you just tell her these things?"

"Because she'll play dumb and act like she doesn't know what I'm talking about."

"No she won't Lucas, just talk to her, at least after this."

"Fine, but if it goes wrong you're the one to blame."

I nod and we head back inside, she still has her head down.

Nicole's POV

"Nicole?" I hear Mark say.

"Hmm?" I answer sadly.

"Can you scoot over?"

I hop over without lifting my head. I then felt a hand on my back.

"Nicole?" Then I hear Lucas's voice.

Lucas's POV

She lifts her head in my direction and I can see tears staining her face.

"Are you okay?"

She only nods and puts her head back down.

'Did I hurt her again? Way to go Lucas!'

"Do you wanna talk to me?"

She nods.

"We'll wait in the car."

I nod and they head out.

"So what's up?"

"You're mad at me aren't you?"

"It's not you I'm mad at it's him."

"Felix?"

I nod.

"Why?"

"Because Nicole I like you as well."

She looks up at me her eyes red and cheeks puffy, it made me feel worse.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I figured I made it obvious but I guess not."

"Lucas...." She sighs.

"Even if you can't be with me there are plenty of people out there including my bestfriend Xiyeon, she really likes you, she'd be mad at me if she found out I told you."

"Really?" I played as if I didn't know already.

She nods. 

"Anyways let's go home." She says and I agree.

"See you at school Felix!!" She yells and waves and he waves back.

We both head out.
