I was crouched down picking tomatoes when I nearly jumped. I stood up from my squatted position and straightened my body out. I'm ten months along and need only one month left. I looked around the garden before continuing on. "Thought Tex said no pregnant girls in the garden." Peter said from behind me.

I did jump at first then calmed myself. "You know your not supposed to scare one either." I said. "You look a little larger than just carrying one." He said. "Yeah. I can feel two different areas being kicked." I said. "How long has it been since your last ultrasound?" He asked.

"Never had one." I said. "You need one." He said. "Let Tex know. A few of the girls are going to have to get in here and pick food if they want to stick around." I said. "I'll let Wesson know." He said. "Come on. They'll finish up in here for you. You need to go eat." He put a hand between my shoulder blades and walked me out.

He locked the door with a different lock before leading me to my house. I had to stop at the doorway. "Honey. What's wrong?" He asked. "I need to lay down." I told him. He opened the door and had me lay down on the couch. He jogged to the kitchen and brought me a glass of water. His hand lightly laid on my stomach.

He jerked it back and jumped up. "I think your carrying twins." He said. I sighed. "Is there a possibility?" I asked. "Is it in your family line to have twins?" He asked. "Nope." I said just before Tex entered. "Did you contact him?" I asked Peter. "No." Both he and Tex said at the same time. I sighed.

Tex came over to me and sat down next to my stomach. "She may need an ultrasound to confirm how many she's carrying." Peter said. "Why?" Tex asked. Peter gestured to my belly. Tex looked at it. Then moved his hand over it. I felt the first kick up by my rib cage before he moved lower and another kick hit his hand.

He had a confused look on his faced. "I'd call to set one up. We haven't had twins here before, we do need to see if it is twins though." He said not looking at me. I took a deep breath before I had to get up off the couch. When I did, Tex saw how big I truly was. I'm pretty sure that this could be twins with the way I'm being kicked.

I walked to the bedroom and then to the bathroom. I then went to the kitchen and found something to eat. They both were watching me. "What?" I asked. "Has the foal or foals dropped?" Tex asked. "Last week." I said. "She's close then." Peter said. I looked at them both. "Why?" I asked.

"The signs are there." Tex said. "What?" I asked. "With the way you are pacing and eating, it could be possible that you are in the early stages of labor." Tex said. I shook my head. "Honey. It is possible. All of us know the signs. We know what to look for. Most of the girls will pace and eat before giving birth. It may be tonight, tomorrow or some time in the next thirty six hours. You are close to going into labor." Peter said.

"I can't lay down or stay on bed rest." I said. "You may need to, to prolong labor." Tex said. "Can't stop me from getting up when you are not here." I said as I took a bite of my grapes. They looked at each other. Tex pulled his phone out. "No. Don't you dare think about it." I told him.

I knew he was going to text Thomas to stay at my house and in my bed next to me the whole time I'm on bedrest. "Then you will do as I ask, if you need anything, Chester will be by at least seven times a day to check up on you." He said. "Not happening." I said. "Then you won't leave me any choice Honey. I can't have you going into labor when your so close to term." He said.

"If bedrest does not work, then you would have wasted your time on that." I said. He shot Peter a look. I went directly to my bedroom and laid down. I closed my eyes as a little discomfort was felt in my abdomen. The bedroom door closed. "He's not trying to be mean Honey. He wants what's best for you." He said. "He needs to say that in person." I said.

I moved to lay with my legs pulled up to my chest and my stomach between my legs. "Bedrest isn't going to even happen." He said. I was trying to calm myself down while pain started in my abdomen. Peter left my room in a run. I kept breathing until I heard pounding feet through my house.

"Run a bath." Tex nearly yelled. He wrapped an arm around my waist above my belly and below my breasts. He helped me sit up and get to my feet. He helped me to the bathroom. Peter helped Tex undress me and get me into the tub. I could already feel one coming.

Chester came in. "Peter go calm any confusion." Tex said. Chester slipped his finger between my legs and into my folds. "There's a head. No way this is going to be stopped." Chester said. Tex blew air out his mouth. "At least she's close to term." Chester said.

Tex stepped out of the bathroom. "Don't worry bout him Honey. He tries to control everything." Chester said. I took a deep breath. "Your doing good sugar." He said as he checked again. "Head's coming." He said as I leaned on the side of the tub. "I'm going to need you to start pushing Honey." He said.

He felt my stomach before counting. I pushed when he said to. He drained the tub and refilled it after the foal came out. He had a towel and small bath ready to clean it up. "Tex." He yelled. Tex poked his head into the bathroom. "Baby boy." Chester said. "The doctor is on his way." Tex said.

I felt more pain go through me. "Want to clean him up for me?" Chester asked quickly. Tex took our son. I didn't give Chester a second as I pushed. One hand on my back and the other on my stomach. Chester felt my stomach. "There's a second one." He said. Tex looked shocked.

I timed each just right and the second came out without any trouble. Chester drained the tub and cleaned that one off. I let both babies nurse and have skin to skin contact with me. I leaned against the closest side of the tub. A hand running fingers through my hair had me looking up. Our second baby was another boy.

Tex kissed my cheek. "You did good baby." He said. Having two babies in one day. Exhausting. "Let's get these two dressed and let them see their father." Chester said. Both he and Tex got diapers on them. Chester had brought a rocking chair into the spacious bathroom and had Tex and the babies in it with more skin to skin contact.

Chester helped clean me up and move both the babies and I to my bedroom. Won't the herd be surprised when they hear that not only one baby boy was born but two. I sighed while watching the pair sleep in the same crib. A knock at the front door threatened to wake them up.

A few seconds later Chester came in followed by the doctor. "Thought I could get here before they came." He said quietly. "I guess they had a mind of their own." Tex said.
