When it was starting to get too hot, we started looking for a place to rest. I spotted one and went towards it. Once there, I sniffed around before shaking. Tex did the same. I dozed while standing. Tex sided up beside me and let me know his head was by my leg.

All he had to do was nudge me to wake me up. That's all I had to do too. We slept for a good portion of the afternoon. I was starting to feel the coolness come back. That's when I woke up. Tex was still dozing as I lifted my head to look around. I spotted a pond for a possible drink. I barely nudged him and started for it. He followed.

I sniffed a little before Tex shoved me away. He kept going until we were away from it. I continued to follow him. I sneezed before he looked back. I kept following him though. He knows where we're going. I'm not turning around and going back. All night we walked. When we reached some downhill rock, I went for it. When I reached the bottom he was halfway down.

I waited on him. Once he reached the bottom, we continued. I spotted a creek. He led the way to it and started drinking. I followed suit and drank a little more than he did. I heard a yowl before Tex nudged me across. He kept at it until we were away from the trees and at a lope away from them.

He took the lead again and led the way once more. By morning, I was thirsty again. I also had an itch where I couldn't reach. Tex whinnied. He then took off at a run. I followed. He stopped once to make sure I was behind him. He then took off again. I followed again.

A group of maybe three males met Tex and I. One started to sniff me. When Tex started walking, I followed. The one that was sniffing me, stopped and hung back behind me. Another dropped back to walk at my other flank. The one that dropped back barely touched me to urge me forward.

He accidentally touched the bruise that Tex left the day the dogs came around. I tried not to jump too badly when he did. When the mainstead came into view they were wanting to pick up the pace while I was trying my best to keep up. I don't have the energy to make it by loping or running.

I folded my ears back slightly and lowered my head. I was showing signs of my exhaustion and wanted to catch my breath. I could understand how they were still going, but I've never done anything like this. The one on my right next to the bruise moved closer to my head and rubbed his head on my shoulder.

We reached it and finally stopped. About six other males came up to us. I was too tired to care about what they were doing. I did though when one tried to sniff between my legs. I stomped quickly. Saying that I've had enough.

I sighed as one rubbed his head on my back. I'll go for intros later. Two shifted. Tex did too. I guess he saw the tiredness in my eyes because he let me follow him without shifting. Once reaching a house, he turned around and offered to carry me in. I shifted and let him carry me in. "Hey boss. Need any help?" A guy asked. "Did any boxes arrive?" Tex asked.

"Yes sir they did. Do you want me to carry her for you?" The guy asked. "She's too tired to care about who's carrying her if you want to." He said. I felt another set of hands on my waist before I was moved to another set of arms. I had my eyes closed wanting to sleep. "Where do you want her to sleep?" The guy asked as he started walking.

"The room I wanted the boxes in." Tex said. I guess I fell asleep because I don't remember my back touching the mattress. When I woke up I pulled my phone out of my pocket and sent Xavier a text saying that we made it safely. He sent a reply before I wanted to fall back asleep. My dry throat had other plans. I got up and went to the door.

I opened it slowly before poking my head out. Then went down the hall away from the other rooms. Large floor to ceiling windows greeted me. Shuffling made me look around. A guy was watching tv in what looked to be the living room. I found the kitchen and went in search of a glass.

I found one and filled it. Then got the drink I was wanting. The guy moved on the couch. I nearly had the glass of water finished off when he turned around and saw me. "Did you sleep well?" He asked. I nodded. "That's good. Do you want to look around or rest?" He asked.
