^^^^^Harris^^^^^
I trotted alongside Harris as he made his rounds. I don't feel nauseous at all and im drinking plenty. Tex has been asking if I've had a period since the day it was supposed to hit. Well this morning, I woke up, and low and behold, it was here. I had to send him a text saying that I'm on my period. He said to come into his office this afternoon when Harris is done making his rounds this morning.
I don't know what is going through his head and I want to know. At noon, Harris took me to Tex's office and I went in by myself. Harris went to work on something and I left myself with Tex. "Are you sure you are on your period?" He asked as soon as I had the door closed.
"Do you want to see my chart?" I asked him. He held his hand out for my phone. I gave it to him. He sighed before checking it out. He muttered a curse before throwing the phone on his desk. "Come here baby." He said. I came to him and sat on his lap. He pulled me closer and let me sit there while he was doing paperwork.
One of his hands rested on my stomach. The warmth of his hand helped with the cramps. I eventually fell asleep. I woke up with an arm over my back and a warm chest at my back. I rolled over and met a hard chest. A deep sigh and a tighter embrace warmed me more.
I knew this wasn't Tex. The warmth and body type was different. I opened my eyes, being met with muscles and a scar. I barely touched the skin with my nose as I fell back asleep. The guy moved and rolled onto his back taking me. An alarm went off.
The guy hit the snooze button. He moved to roll me to the wall. "When were you put in bed with me?" He asked. "Don't know." I answered. "Tex throw you in?" He asked. I nodded. He chuckled. "Then I guess this was the best first meeting." He said then kissed the tip of my nose.
"Tex said he brought a new girl home. I'm Michael." He said. "I don't know if he ever said my name." I said. "Honey." He said. "Am I All he talks bout?" I asked. "Don't know." He said getting up. He pulled some jeans on then grabbed a random shirt off the floor. "You can stay there as long as you want." He said before checking his phone.
"I probably need to get to my own house." I said. "Probably. I'll walk you over." He said waiting as I got up. "Take it you've been on patrol before?" He asked. "With Harris and Axel." I said. "I'll walk you to your house. Night watch is nothing like day watch." He said opening the bedroom door. I went through it. He followed.
"Is that how you got the scar on your chest?" I asked. "Yeah. The cats are worse at night." Michael said as he opened the door. He looked around before pulling me close to him. "Want to talk bout how this morning went?" He asked. "Boring." I said. "Heard bout the cat attack while Axel was on patrol last week." He said. "Yeah." I said.
"How would you know?" He asked. "Kind of heard it then was shoved away from it." I said. He scoffed. "It was your day with him then." He said. "Yeah. Helping him set concrete that morning then everything is quiet that afternoon to evening until he started making me turn to the right and wanting me to go faster than a walk." I said.
"Think Tex was impressed when you followed orders." He said. I shrugged. "This your place?" Michael asked as we neared a house. "Yeah." I answered. "I'll see you around then. I've got to relieve the two on my end of the border. Thomas should be coming out any minute. He's not as susceptible to girls as I am." He said.
"Why is that?" I asked. "Let's just say, kids are not my thing." He said. "Unless you absolutely had to watch them?" I asked. He chuckled. "If I had to do something with a kid, it would be searching for them at night." He said. "Does that go for Thomas too?" I asked.
"He'd search for a little girl or Tex's oldest son, other than that, no. I took the night watch for that reason. I don't want any biological kids. Thomas is the same way." He said. "That's good to know." I said. He stood on the front porch at the steps. I unlocked the door and went in.
"It was nice meeting you Honey." He said. "You too Michael." I said before he winked at me. I went inside and went to fix myself something to eat. I got a shower before going to bed. Maybe it will get easier for me.
