Okay so here is finally an update! :)
"So how's everyone settling in?", Mom asks' once everyone in sat at the dinner table.
"Mom we've been here less than a half a day. How is it possible to already be settled in?", Monica replies in a joking tone.
"Oh hush Mon I was only trying to start a conversation.", Moms says.
"We've been together my whole life I don't think there's a need for ice breakers", Monica fires back with a smile on her face.
"Well missy, do you have any other more interesting topics to talk about, seeing as what ever I say gets denied?"
"Actually, well there is sorta this party tomorrow night and I was wondering if I could maybe go, please this is important.", She says with a gleam of hope sparkling in her eyes.
"Mon we've been here less then a day how is it possible for you to already have a party to go to?", Mom asks throwing Monicas previous words back in her face.
"Well I know some body, who knows somebody, who knows this girl who lives here. I was texting her a little bit ago and she said I was welcome to come. I think it would be good for me to start meeting some people in this area, you know broaden my culture and all that crap."
"Honey what do you say?", Mom asks looking into Dads' eyes.
"Well I know the reason you want to go is not to "broaden your culture" but since we did just move here I guess we could let you have some fun.", He says putting air quotes around, broadening your culture.
"But if you do go, I want you to take Brooke with you."
After Dad said those words, a blanket of silence was wrapped around the table.
Monica is the first one to break the silence, "You are kidding me, right?", she asked a tone of disbelief laced in her words.
"Actually I think that would be a good idea. I mean once school starts up I want all of you guys to feel comfortable where we are. Brooke what do you say?", Mom asks' looking straight into my eyes.
"Well I sorta agree with Monica on this one. I'm not exactly the partying type, the whole scene just doesn't really fit me.", I say because, a- I don't want Monica to be mad at me for the rest of my life and b- because what I said was true. Parties and me just don't tend to mesh really well.
I watched as a smile slowly grew on Monica's face.
"Mom, Dad, I think you're right. I think I should take Brooke, it will be a good learning opportunity for her.", Why do I feel like there's suddenly more depth to her words?
"Brooke don't you think this would be beneficial to you?", Mom asks' while looking at me once again but this time she has a faint smile across her lips.
"Yeah, come on Brookey, please.", Monica asks' trying to give me the whole puppy dog look.
"Whatever. Fine. I guess I'll go, but I am not staying past ten so when I want to go home I'mm going to go home.", I say because there's no way at all that I would win an argument with these people I frequently call my family.
"Okay then it's set.", Dad says' while folding his hands together.
After dinner I helped Mom put away the dishes and clean the table before I went back up to my room.
Opening the door to my balcony I could the soothing sound of the ocean waves beating against the shore in a dance of content.
The stars in the sky were beautiful. Like a puzzle that held its beauty without actually having to be completed .
At this hour the beach was peaceful and almost completely empty. I found it enjoyable to watch the very few people walking against the soft sand.
There was a couple that looked to be in their mid sixties that held hands while walking at a slow pace enjoying the view all around them. There was also a family of six with the parents chasing after the young kids who wanted to go in the water, or through sand at each other, or play tag, depending on the minute.
Lastly I saw a guy, who I'm guessing is around my age although I could only see his silhouette, running down the coast. I saw him coming when he was pretty far away and the closer he got the slower he got.
As he neared my house I could hear his labored breaths. Though the moon was the only source of light I had, I could clearly see him. The outline of his sculpted jaw, the way his skin looked as if it were kissed by the sun, his silky black hair, and the muscles rippling down his body from his broad shoulders, to his very well defined abs and toned legs.
I watched as he sat down in the sand, almost next you right infrount of my house. After a few minutes of him looking into the ocean and me looking at his back I started to feel, well sorta like a creep stalking some random guy I don't know.
As I'm just about to leave, I see him stand up and walk father from the water. Oh god. He must've seen me. Oh I have an idea! If he comes over her and calls me a creep I can just say I feel asleep while watching the ocean and have a rare disorder which causes you to sleep with your eyes open. Brilliant, I know.
To my surprise, he walks up to the house directly to the right of mine and oped up the back door to his, might I add huge, mansion. Yay I'm saved! Right as he walks in and is about to shut the door behind him I stand up to go back inside. Before going in my room I look down one last time and see his eyes locked with mine. Maybe he did see me after all.
Yes, I know it's been forever since I last updated anything and I just wanted to say sorry for that. I'm trying my best to update what I can as soon as possible.
I need your guys help at picking someone to be the mystery running guy. I was thinking maybe Dylan O'Brien but i dont know. Thank you all so much!
Love you and don't forget to vote and comment. Reading your guys' comments make my day.
