It had been a week since Yana had spoken with Yuri. After the night they had argued with him questioning if he was CJ's father Yana couldn't bear to be in his presence. After leaving Mama's place she made it home and never picked up CJ until a couple of days later. She had to make up an excuse to Mama that she was sick. Yana felt bad especially as she hadn't seen her boy. Mama was also worried about Yana and felt there was something wrong since Yana hadn't called for their daily gossip session.

CJ was in school and Yana was getting ready to go and pick him up. Arriving at his school she practically ran to the office to sign him out. The double doors opened up and out walked CJ. Yana stood there admiring her son. He was definitely Yuri's twin. Yana felt herself getting emotional as he looked up at her. Their faces lit up as they ran towards each other. Hand in hand they got into the car and Yana drove to their favourite eatery. They spent an hour talking about his day at school, his time with his Dad and grandma. CJ couldn't stop his excitement talking about his Dad taking him to his work and seeing all the boys playing basketball. He went on to talk about spending time at his Dad's office and then going out with grandma and pa. Listening to her son, Yana couldn't help but feel the happiness radiating from her son. He was living his dream, from meeting his Dad for the first time to getting the attention from his grandparents. Yana was so happy to see the smile on her son's face and she didn't want to ever have him being sad again. After a long afternoon Yana and CJ made it home in time to bathe and ready for bed.

The loud shrill of the phone on the night stand woke Yana up from a peaceful sleep. Reaching over for the phone Yana heard the soft voice of Mama wishing her a good morning. Fully awake and sitting up, Yana updated Mama on what her and CJ had gotten into after picking him up from school. An hour later and Yana was getting out of the shower getting ready to head out to Mama's place. She was having a little get together with some of her family members to welcome her and CJ to LA. Yana was not sure if she wanted to attend but she couldn't disappoint CJ as well as Mama. She knew that some of Yuri's family were keen to meet her and CJ, well especially CJ and she didn't want to deny her son of that opportunity. Yana had been feeling much happier since she had been in LA because having Mama around to help out when she and Yuri couldn't pick up CJ from school but mostly to chat as Yana never had any friends in New York. She was always so busy with CJ and work that the only two people she had time for was Jace and CJ. There are times that Yana felt like she was missing out on dating or even having a social life but she didn't want to miss the times spent with CJ especially as he was getting older.

Yana called out to CJ asking him to get ready. She heard a knock at her bedroom door. Telling him to come in, he opened the door slowly before running in nearly knocking Yana over. He sure is a lively little boy, so gorgeous and with a heart full of life. Yana thanked God everyday for her son. Looking over at him she saw that he had gotten ready himself and he confirmed he had already brushed his teeth. Yana was happy seeing her son excited for the day ahead. He couldn't wait to see his Dad and grandparents.

Yana still hadn't spoken with Yuri and she didn't feel the need to. He said what he said the night they had their argument and as far as Yana was concerned she wasn't going to let anyone question her love for her son or how he came about. She was going to have to keep Yuri at a distance. She was too scared to get close to him or another man because she didn't want to get hurt again.

Pulling up to Mama's house, Yana was of course fashionably late but she had an excuse seeing CJ wanted to go and get something for his grandma. They both hopped out of the car, setting CJ down on the side of the driveway, Yana walked to the boot to get some food she had made for the get together. Mama had specifically told Yana not to bring anything but Yana knows you never go over to anyone's place without taking something to eat or drink.

Yana had texted Mama to inform her she and CJ had arrived. Seeing Mama walk out the door Yana felt a sigh of relief. She really didn't want to deal with Yuri right now but seeing his ass huddled up with his boys Yana rolled her eyes and walked over to Mama as she led Yana and CJ to the living room. Soft music was playing and as soon as Yana and CJ walked in, the room became quiet, the music stopped and no one said anything. Mama looked around annoyed at everyone who all turned around to look at Yana. Yana felt little hands wrap around one of her legs and straight away she smiled. Looking down at CJ she picked him up seeing his face looking scared. Whispering to him that everything will be alright, he sighed and leaned his head on her shoulder while Yana followed Mama to the kitchen to leave the food. As soon as they walked back out, Mama grabbed Yana's hand walking around to each family member to introduce her and CJ to. Gasps and cooing could be heard as they looked at CJ commenting how he resembled Yuri. Speaking of Yuri, he was talking to his boys but felt eyes on him. As he turned around to go into the house, he looked up to see Yana standing there with Mama and CJ. He stared. Hearing someone whispering "Damn" Yuri became annoyed. Turning around to his friends he shook his head and turned to walk towards Yana and CJ. Hearing Jenny's voice behind him, he ignored her and kept walking. He didn't know why she was even invited because he surely didn't invite her. Only his boys were invited by his Mama so how Jenny made it into the house knowing full well his Mama disliked her. Shaking his head he walked over to Mama, Yana and CJ. CJ who was still holding on tightly to his Mama saw Yuri walk over and ran towards him "Dad!" hearing his voice Yuri couldn't help beaming at being called Dad. He could never get tired of it. Picking CJ up spinning him around Yuri wrapped his arms tightly around his son never wanting to let go. The sight in front of them was too much for Mama as she wiped a stray tear that had trickled down her face. She was happy, seeing her son bond with her grandson, her grandson teaching her about his little world. Mama was grateful for Yana for reminding CJ that he had a father and that he loved him even though they had never met. Mama loved Yana and she always reminded Yuri how he ruined what him and Yana had and if he really wanted to be in CJ's life then he really needed to get his life together and asap.

Yuri stood off to the side of the living room pretending to listen to his boys talk but all he could do was think about Yana. He looked over where Yana was standing talking to one of his cousins. He took in what Yana was wearing. Yuri looked up to see Yana staring back at him. It was like they were the only two in the living room. There was no tension felt in the room from them, maybe from the uninvited guest but both Yuri and Yana felt at peace for once. Yuri wanted to walk over and apologise again to Yana but before he could he got pulled back by Jenny. "Where ae you going babe?" Yuri gritted his teeth as he looked over at her "What's it to you and how did you even get invited?" Jenny looked at Yuri like he had just slapped her in the face. "Excuse me, I have every right to be here as your girlfriend." Yuri couldn't help but laugh. "Umm listen Jenny but what we didn't have didn't actually happen. If one of the boys invited you then they are in the wrong as they were only invited by my Mama and no one said anything about a plus one so I think it's best if you leave now before Mama cusses you out." Jenny just stared at Yuri and then rolled her eyes. "Mack invited me so I came over with him." Yuri needed to speak with Mack because this was the second time that he's invited Jenny when he knows I wanted nothing to do with her thirsty ass. Yuri blocked out everyone talking to him and let his eyes travel over again to where Yana was standing. Before Yuri could make it across the room, his Mama was already calling him to help him set up the table. Yana walked to the back of the kitchen helping bringing in the dishes and cutlery. They looked at each other giving little smiles while going on their way. Yana couldn't help but smile looking over to her side, her son smiling and laughing with his cousins. Feeling eyes on her, she looked up to see Yuri staring at her from across the table. She felt hot all of a sudden excusing herself to the ladies room. She splashed some water on her face and tidied herself up before exiting the room. She was too busy trying to close the door that she didn't see or hear anyone walk into the bathroom. She gasped seeing Yuri standing in front of her, biting his lip with eyes roaming her body. He cleared his throat and asked her if she was okay. She nodded and blushed, looking down at her feet. He tilted her chin up to look at him. His stare was intense, something she hadn't gotten used to over the years. She knew as soon as you look into them you were a goner. They just stood there looking at each other before she felt his lips on hers. She couldn't move or look away, she felt stuck. She melted into him as he embraced her, kissing her forehead before they both continued with their liplock. Yana didn't know what she was doing but she was enjoying it andshe had to savour it but now she had to leave. Abruptly stopping anything from going any further she left Yuri standing there in the bathroom as she walked back out. Everyone was too busy conversing amongst themselves Yana didn't think anyone noticed her and Yuri not present. That is everyone except a pair of eyes that never left the corridor leading to the bathroom.
