Don't. Move.
The now familiar voice in my head commanded. To be quite honest, I have no idea what is going on. So of course, I am going to be more inclined to trust the voice in my head rather than my own self that just wants to sit up.

You move and it's all over. Steady your breathing. Open your ears. Just listen.

It's cold in here, wherever I am. I'm lying on something hard, maybe a hardened floor, maybe some steps, the levels are kind of off. I took a deep breath to steady myself and focused on the room.

"...I looked everywhere for him, Cenric! What do you want me to do?" Azura screamed, her voice shaky with the panic only my demon can bring.

A scoff was heard and then he said, "Use your feminine wiles."

There was a silence and then the most terrifying voice, "You should have put him down when you had a chance like the dog he is. But you felt sorry for him. You've always been soft," Azura growled.

Don't even flinch. Be. Still.

Not moving, I listened to Azura and Cenric's breathing escalate as they most likely face off.

"If I could go back, I'd have killed you that day in the classroom," Cenric snapped back.

Azura laughed. "Maybe you should have so I would've never gotten close to Jessica just to watch her die."

"She's not going to die," he replied firmly.

"How are you going to protect her from the demon dimension? I'm not strong enough to stop Lucifer on my own and you know it. You need a team of sucubi."

Cenric sighed. "Why does he want her?"

"She's humanity itself. Surely you've noticed when she touches you or implants ideas in your head you'd never have thought of as a moody demon."

"What are you talking about?"

"Your eyes are greener meaning you're gaining humanity. You didn't kill me, you've decided on her, and now you're trying to protect her. Those are all human instincts, not demonic ones."

Use his humanity to your advantage. As well as your secret weapon.

What's my secret weapon? The darkness?

No. Be quiet.

God, she's so mean and temperamental. Not all of us are kept inside of pendants and act like it's normal.

I said be quiet.

"...I just need him located," Cenric said. "I can take care of him myself."

"You could just use her as bait and he'd show up," Azura suggested.

"You'd be using her as bait, and I can't agree to allow you to do that. If he gets his hands on her again, I'm quite sure he won't let her get away this time."

"So how do you plan on us finding him so you can lure him to the dimension in order to end him?"

"I...I don't know yet."

"We should just say goodbye," Azura mumbled.

"That is not an option! She will not be in the hands of Lucifer!"

"How could she not be! The only person strong enough to stop him is you and you can only appear in dreams and in that dimension he'd never dare venture into. We don't have many options, sir," she spat.

Okay. Look, listen to me. I can't get out of the pendant, but the pendant is now attached to your throat. So, we are stuck in this together.
