Stars
I look up
And I see stars
I realize that my life
Is being blanketed
By bursts of energy
By bursts of light
And yet
The sky is still dark
And I can't find the moon
Dozens of specks of wonder
Scattered over my head
I stand in awe
I try to take it all in
Because in this lifetime, I know
A lifetime will never be enough to take it all in
It brings me pain to know
That I will never be a part of something greater
