Nat P.O.V.

The drive back from the hospital was quite. Steve was holding my hand as he drove, and that was enough for both of us. I watched the world go by, and watched as many mothers and fathers played with their kids in the park and on the sidewalks. I prayed that Steve and I would be one of those parents soon.

"We have a mission next week... I'm calling it off," Steve finally spoke up.

"Are you insane? Do you know how many lives are in the balance?" I questioned.

"Are you insane? Nat... you are pregnant now, and a high risk pregnancy at that... I won't let you go on any missions," he immediately argued. His grip on my hand tightened with his fear.

"Steve, I know I can't go, obviously, but, you still need to go," I replied.

"I'm not leaving you," he stubbornly added.

"Steve, we can't both be out of work for the rest of the year, S.H.I.E.L.D. needs us to pull our weight," I relented. I suppose weight wasn't the best analogy here, because Steve looked over at me with his pity eyes.

"Nat, I see your point, but S.H.I.E.L.D. has plenty of other high level agents active right now, I'm sure Fury can work something out... I refuse to leave you," Steve protested. I could hear that tone in his voice, he wasn't going to let me win, not when my health was on the line. I couldn't help but smile. "What?" He asked noticing my grin.

"You're too protective, Steven," I pulled out the full name with a small laugh.

"What can I say, I love you," Steve smirked as he leaned over and kissed me. I intended for our kiss to be short, but he prolonged it into a passionate one. I had my eyes closed, and then remembered the man I was making out with was behind the wheel of our car. I opened my eyes and looked only to see cars ahead of us stopping, and our car flying at 70mph and leaning off the road. I quickly leaned down and hit the brake with my hand and grabbed the wheel with the other hand, and steered the car back onto the road. We came to a skidding stop right before colliding with another car's bumper.

"Eyes on the road, Rodgers," I winked. We were both out of breath from the almost crash we had.

Steve had no words, but the devious smile on his face and the flushed cheeks made me laugh.

We parked the car, and as Natasha got out of the car, I couldn't help but continue what I had started in the car. I pushed her up against the back of the car, and began to kiss her lips with zeal. She laughed and smiled, but began to kiss me back.

"You know, the flu is pretty contagious," Tony spoke up from behind her back.

Nat broke the kiss off and turned to face him, he smiled as he came over and took a seat next to Natasha on back of the car. "I'm not stupid, I knew it wasn't the flu... so what is going on with, Little Red, here?" Tony asked.

"Stark," Natasha spoke up, her tone a warning for him to back down.

"I don't appreciate you lying to me," he responded quickly, "I deserve the truth."

"Tony, this has nothing to do with you, and we'll tell you when the time is right," I tried to calm the situation by using a passive tone and putting my hands up. Natasha hopped off the back of the car and began to walk away, but Tony stopped her as she walked by him by grabbing her arm. That's when I remembered that night before the mission, with Tony begin a drunken mess over his breakup with Pepper. That's when I smelled the alcohol aroma coming off of him. His face was harsh and he was enraged. "Let her go," I demanded, a little to harsh and protective.
