When Uncle Severus and I came into the meeting, I felt like I could carry myself with new found confidence. The Dark Lord had accepted me, and I knew that that meant that I would be treated with far more respect than I had last time. Our seats were even closer to the head that You-Know-Who sat at.
We took our places, and I noticed that, unusually, we weren't the last one's there. Across from us two empty seats, one of them where Lucius used to sit.
"Wondering who those are for? Here's a hint; it's a surprise!" The woman I recognized as Bellatrix LaStrange leaned closer to me before leaning in front of me. "Hey, Snape! Is this yours?!"
"Yes." Uncle Severus answered, annoyed.
"Like, yours yours? What woman was that desperate?" Bellatrix thought for a moment. "Hm...Lets see... Not Lilly!" She let out an insane sounding cackle as my Uncle's face turned red with anger. Through gritted teeth, he said,
"No, Bellatrix. She's Fyrus's daughter."
"Oh, little Fyrus's, huh?" She turned back to me. "I heard your ol' daddy blew himself up a few years ago. How'd that go?"
"I'd rather now talk about it." I cast my eyes downward.
"Come on! Tell Auntie Bella!" She got right in my face.
"Leave her alone, Bellatrix." My uncle cut in.
"Oh, I'm just kiddin' with you, Snapey-Poo!" She used her right hand to pinch my cheek. I let out an angry blow through my nose, but before I could do anything else, the Dark Lord entered. Everyone shot out of their seat, standing up out of respect... or fear. If you were like me, a little of both. As he approached the head of the table, I saw him angrily eye the empty chairs across from my uncle and I.
"As everyone knows, the Ministry has now accepted that I have returned." He began after we all decided it was safe to sit down. "The news has spread to the public. I must say, Fudge, as idiotic as he may be, did a pretty decent job of denying me and keeping everyone in the dark. But, finding out was inevitable. Now we must focus on taking over. Most of them are already hiding, cowering in fear from my awesome power.
"They're all fools. All they have to do is abide by me, and I won't bring harm to them.. I am doing them all a favor, getting rid of the filth that is poisoning the precious pure wizard blood of the population. Putting the Muggles in their places! Making a supreme-" the Dark Lord suddenly stopped, looking at the back of the room where the entrance was. Curiosity made every head at the table take a peak.
My jaw dropped when I saw who it was. Draco Malfoy was standing between the oak double doors at the back of the room. His mother was behind him. They both looked dearly sorry, worried, and scared, all at the same time. They stood, frozen in their places, until the Dark Lord started speaking again.
"So nice of you to join us, Malfoy. Would you like to have a sit?"
Draco dryly nodded and started towards the empty chairs across from my uncle and I. I leaned over and whispered to Uncle Severus, fiercely.
"Why is he here?"
"Shh!" she sharply quieted me before the Malfoy's took their seats. You-Know-Who wasted no time walking around the table and stopping behind them.
"Were you aware of what time the meeting was suppose to start?"
"Five o'clock." Draco gulped.
"Do you have any idea what time it is currently?"
"Uh..." Draco started looking around frantically, trying to find an answer.
"Miss Snape," You-Know-Who eye my watch. "Would you be so kind as to tell Malfoy the time?"
