I park the car in the parking lot of the apartment complex.

"This where you live?" I ask and she nods. "Ok, let's go."

We get to a door on the second floor with the number, 345. She unlocks and opens the door and walks in.

"Turn the light on." I say and she does, revealing a small living room with soft carpet, a reclining brown couch, a black coffee table in front of the couch and a small tv against the wall. There are three doors on the wall besides the front door. There's one in the back right corner, one across from it which appears to be a bathroom, and one on the close left wall which appears to be the kitchen.

"You live here?" I ask and she nods. "Who do you live with?"

"Misty." She says.

"Who's that?" A giant fluffy white and gray cat waddles over to the girl and dubs against her legs.

"My cat." She says picking it up. "She's a main-coon cat. That's why she's so big and fluffy." The cat kneads her chest.

"But what humans do you live with?" She looks at me for a minute.

"None." She says.

"You live by yourself?" She nods. "But you're sixteen."

"I know. I got a job to pay for everything."

"How long have you been in your own?"

"Since I was thirteen." She says quietly and I furrow my eyebrows.

"Why?"

"I ran away from the foster care system when I was thirteen and I got a job, so I've just been living here since then." She explains.

"Why did you run away?"

"Because," She shrugs. "I don't want to talk about it." She shakes her head.

"Ok," I say slowly. "So where do I sleep?" I ask changing the subject.

"I don't know. The couch I guess, I wasn't planning on anyone coming and living with me." She sets the cat down and it moves to me and rubs against my legs.

"Yeah, I wasn't really planning on becoming someone's bodyguard." I say.

"Well it's late, goodnight." She says walking to the room they I assume is her room.

"Night." I say and take my phone out and call Dean. If I'm going to live here for a while I'm going to need some of my stuff.

"Hi Dean, it's me Carlos. I need your guys to help me move some stuff from my house to this apartment. Thanks. I'll tell you more about it tomorrow.

I walk to the couch, take my shoes and jacket off and lay down and cover up. Before I close my eyes I look to the door to the girls bedroom, this can't be real. She can't be Sadie's sister.

I know this one was short but the next will be longer. The picture of misty (Julie's cat) is up at the top, isn't she cute? So fluffy.

Anyway, thanks for reading!
