Three years later...
Carlos' POV
"Mommy!" Bailey sequels as she runs up to Sadie, Sadie picks her up in her arms with a grin.
"How was school?" She asks.
"Great! Aiden beat up this guy for me!" I bite my lip, holding back a laugh as I look down at my son as he stands behind me. He looks up at me with his little blue eyes.
"Am I in trouble?" He asks quietly and I chuckle.
"No. You just-"
"Aiden." We both look up to an angry Sadie standing in front of us, arms crossed.
"Why did you beat up some kid for your sister?"
"Because he was calling her names."
"It sounds like he was just sticking up for her." I say.
"Yeah." Sadie nods. "Fine." She squats down in front of him. "Did you win?" He nods. "That's my boy." She ruffles his hair as she stands back up. "Now go get ready for tonight. Wear something nice." Haiku and Aiden run upstairs, their little feet making soft but quick footsteps.
"Ok, no," Sadie claps her hands.
"Now I get a hug and kiss just like you did with them?" I ask with puppy eyes. She rolls her eyes.
"No, where's my other child?"
I sigh, "In her room, playing with bear I gave her.
"Ok." I follow her up the stairs. We walk into the room where there's a white crib, purple and white walls, and a baby sitting in the middle of the floor with a pacifier in her mouth and a stuffed bear in her tiny hands.
We walk over to her as Sadie scoops her into her arms and kisses her head.
"Ok, now my turn, right?" I ask and she sighs as she walks over to me and kisses my lips. I smile.
"We should go now." She says looking at her watch.
"Yep." I nod.
"Julie, you look fine." I stop as I pass the white door.
"No, I look like an idiot!"
"No, you look beautiful. Sam will love it."
"How do you know?"
"Because he loves you, Julie. He doesn't care what you're dress looks like. He just cares about getting married to you."
I quietly open the door and peek inside, seeing Julie in a beautiful white, glittery, long dress. I grin, realizing my little princess is about to be given away.
"Wow." I say and their heads shoot to me.
"Carlos! Get out! Sam might come and then he'll see me!" Julie snaps and I roll my eyes as I shut the door and walk over to them.
"You look so beautiful." I smile, taking in her dress. "I can't believe this day has finally come. Three years but it's finally here. Soon you'll have children, you'll get exhausted, and then you'll stop giving your husband all the attention and instead will give your kids all the attention." At the last part I look over to Sadie as she rolls her eyes.
"You don't understand how stressful it is to be a mother." She tells me.
"Well I'm a father. I know."
"Oh really? Did you give birth to three children?" She scowls at me and I look down.
"Guys, stop, you're making me anxious." We look up at Julie.
